Scharenberg's White Lake Beach Resort

Been here for dinner twice now. Food is great especially the Siciian Breaded Shrimp! The fish fry is good too. Staff is very nice.

Been coming there for 39 years, sort of a local.....Does anybody remember "Skipper" ? Great place and food.

The beach is nice, the staff is friendly, and for the most part it's an enjoyable family experience. My only complaint is that the owners seem to have become complacent with certain things. The cabin we stayed in had issues with the water pressure, the subfloor by the front door had obviously collapsed and was in need of repair and the stove had only two burners operating and seemed to continue leaking gas unless the knob was arranged perfectly. All of these being repairs needed since my family stayed there the previous year. My family loves the place and will continue to return, but I'm not sure how much longer if this attitude toward fairly basic repairs continues.

I mean, what's not to love?! It's charming, peaceful, the owners are great, hard-working and helpful. I've come for a weekend visit for the past 4 years and have always had a wonderful time.
