Scarborough Central Mosque

How can such a grand mosque lie in deteriorated condition for so long? Washrooms are unclean and sometimes there's no running tap water in the toilets. CMS needs a complete revamp from doors till the ceiling. Insha Allah people come forward with donations and help the committee take up the renovation.

This is a lovely Masjid I often come to. There’s always a welcoming environment and makes me glad to visit every time. Salah times are given accurately on the website.

Wallahil adheem, this IS the BEST Masjid mosque in GTA and one of the best in Ontario. I’ve been to many around the world, the experience here brings you SO close to Allah. I’ve felt this from the moment I stepped in here. The dear Imams Sh Talha and Wa’il and the honourable Mufti Saab are true gems that are behind the success of this beautiful place. Shaykh Talha and Wa’il Masha’Allah have BEAUTIFUL Qur’an recitation and some of the best I’ve ever heard. Trust me and visit for yourself to hear them. I love praying behind them. You really feel like you’re in Saudi Arabia when you pray here. It’s simply peaceful. They have a great Hifds Al Qur’an program here with many students. I too do my Qur’an memorization course here which was an invite from the Imam. The care in which they took me in, treated me like their own as Islam says for the Ummah and patiently worked to understand me. I see them do this with everyone. No arrogance in the staff. Extremely humble individuals. Always smiling and working hard for the community. They have great events throughout the year with cool guests that come in from around the world. They also have two Friday mass-prayers to accommodate everyone. If you’re running late then come to the second Jum’aa 3 PM to experience a different Adhaan. Delicious food for cheap every Friday. Amazing clothing and accessories store— you will love their thobes and authentic ouds. Spacious worshipping area for men and women. The sisters and the youth are treated with respect and care here. During COVID, this was the only mosque that stayed open in a respectable manner whilst following the health guidelines WITHOUT MAKING EXCUSES TO SHUT DOWN!! WHICH OTHER MOSQUE DID THAT?? You’ll never be locked out and find yourself praying in the parking lot. The doors of CMS is always open for the Ummah! True lions of our community and it shows in their humility with all. I see some low star reviews from disgruntled folks wouldn’t be surprised if it’s people from other “establishments” with no credibility I served many years in the Canadian Army as a Paratrooper and a few years in the Federal government— as a practicing Muslim, this feat was not easy. It had burdened my soul SubhaanAllah. Wallahi this mosque changed my life for the better. It was pivotal in my salvation. My healing and my contentment. Alhumdulillah for CMS. I pray that every single person responsible in its planning, development, implementation and operations to receive Jannat Al Firdaus, Allahumma aameen! Take a look around in the crowd the next time you visit CMS. You’ll find all ethnicities. South Asians, Africans, North Africans, Arabs, reverts etc and still growing. There is a reason that can happen. It’s the staff and their operations. Non-toxic and WELCOMING environment. They follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him. How can mosque at noon on the weekend be locked up and closed? Your telling me there is no care taker or no Amal happening in the masjid. Might as well call it a Musallah

Situated by the intersection of Lawrence avenue and Markham road @Scarborough. With ample parking and wide space is fair enough to provide prayer service for the Muslim devotees.

This masjid is gradually being renovated. Parking lot is bigger now. But pls have some attention to sister's prayer place. It doesn't have any loud speaker system. We cannot hear anything during khutba. Cleanliness could be better. There were volunteers to look after little children during jamaah in Ramadan. That was a great help. **** Updating my review. The sisters area now has new speaker system. Thank you very much. Now we can hear the khutbah and the prayers. And beautiful Quran recitation by the Imam. MashaAllah. So proud of this masjid.

Never start Friday prayers on time. Don’t be fooled they lie on their website about their prayer timings. Never on time. Ever

I love this Masjid. Location is great. People are friendly. Seems to be organized in a decent manner.

Very bad time management on Friday jummah. Please think about working people who come here according to your published schedule on your website.

Alhamdulillah attended the 3PM Jumah namaz here. Peaceful and calm.
