save your money and never ever buy from this branch in cross iron. the pizza took more than 30 mins which he told us before at the time of ordering Fair enough! when we got, it was not even real chicken. all tin pack stuff. tinned mushroom and tinned chicken pieces and even tinned sausages when we never even asked for sausages. we wanted just 4 toppings as per the groupon but he gave us 3 toppings and apologized for the 4th topping by giving us a can of pop. how ridiculous! won’t come back.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. I ordered an extra large pizza to share with the family. At the time I picked it up, there were no takeout boxes. We were planning to eat in the food court and take leftovers home, so the staff member gave me the pizza on its baking sheet, telling me to come back when we were full. He said it would fit in a smaller box later. After we had eaten half the pizza, I took it back to the counter and the extra large boxes had arrived! So I transferred and was happy. I took off one star because the pizza maker came out of the kitchen and touched things without removing his gloves. I wanted a can of pop and the rang me thru, touching the till with his gloves. I also observed him opening the plastic wrapped pizza boxes with his gloved hands. I didn't see him change his gloves because he went back into the kitchen.
The staff doesn't know proper food handling. The guy that handles the cash register doesn't wear gloves nor washes his hands, but keeps touching the food. Same goes with the lady who wears eye glasses. She was qearing gloves, but does not change it at all. She uses the same gloves when wiping the counter clean, same gloves when handling cash, and same gloves when touching the pizza to cut it in slices. All this happened in a few minutes I was eating my slice of pizza; which I didn't end up finishing after witnessing how the staff handles food. This place is unsanitary, and honestly, should be reviewed by Alberta Health. Horrible costumer service too. The cashier was on his phone while customers wait on him. Staff doesn't wear nametags, so I don't know their names. The food was bland. Skip this store when you're at Crossiron. Would definitely not eat here again.
Been to a ton of different Sbarros, congrats to this one for being the worst. the Girl taking my order looked like she needed to shower, didn’t feel great about her touching my food. The whole time she’s serving me she’s laughing and holding paper plate in front of her face so she can talk to her colleagues without any of the customers seeing her. Not sure which customer she was talking about but we all felt uncomfortable. Not sure how she can get picking a piece of pizza up and putting it in the oven, wrong. But twice she managed it, so that was impressive lol. Horrendously unprofessional, pizzas looked under cooked. Really liked the texting while working concept they have, 4 people behind the counter, 2 of the 4 were texting while serving....terrible. The girl needs some serious training on just everything.
Great place to eat before closing time. Each slice was worth $5. We got 6 slices, and 10 garlic sticks for only the price of 1 slice. Staff members were super nice with this deal, and prepared the food very quick.
I stopped by last week for lunch here. I wanted the $8.99 special with 2 slices and a fountain pop. I got 2 slices, no fountain pop. Instead I was given a small bottle of WARM Coke...no thanks, ever drink warm Coke? Then he proceeded to overcharge me! Last time I'll ever eat there. The food was just ok, you can do much better in the food court than this miserable eating place.
For some reason every time I eat here I feel sick all day and puke all night. Other than that it does still taste good and I haven’t had a bad interaction with staff, just seems like maybe they leave their pizza’s sitting too long idk.
If I could select 0 stars, I would. I had a Groupon for an extra large pizza with 4 toppings and 2 garlic bread. I showed up at the counter at 815pm 45 min PRIOR to close and asked to order my pizza. The young man working in the back/kitchen came out and simply said "No, the oven is turned off" Interesting because a young lady in front of me ordered a piece of pizza and the cashier placed it in the oven for about 5 min prior to giving it to her! I asked again, very nicely, if he'd please take my order. He still refused, and continued to lean no chalantly against the wall, playing on his cell phone. I asked where it was advertised that customers couldn't order a full pizza after 815pm. He had no answer. I confirmed that the kiosk and mall all closed at 900 pm. He waived me off and refused to accept my Groupon. I asked that since the ovens "were off" if he could simply make the pizza and I would bake it at home. He refused and continued to play on his phone. As the Groupon expired today, I asked that something be provided as I had purchased this in good faith. I asked if they would build a pizza from the slices on their heat rack- a few pepperoni and some Hawaiian. He rolled his eyes and waived to the cashier to "just do it". After the random pizza slices with only 1-2 toppings were boxed up, I thanked the cashier as he unfortunately had to work under this person and began to walk away. The man from the back waived me back, demanding that I pay the GST! I told him that since I did not receive what I had paid for, I would not pay the $0.70 GST - and he could dig deep into his own pockets and pay it himself. He ripped up the Groupon and told me never to come back. So, my advice for everyone is do NOT purchase ANYTHING from this establishment!
My wife waited over 2 hours in the mall with our 8 month old child all for one pizza that they kept stringing her along saying 15 more minutes 5 different times. Then she finally gets the pizza, comes home just to find it isn’t anywhere near what we ordered. I tried calling four different times to complain only to have the phone ring 4 times, someone pick up And then hang up right away. I I tried emailing Sbarro’s corporate office, complainedand asked for someone to get back to me and it’s been week and still nobody has attempted to get ahold of me to reconsile this.
I never write reviews. I dont bring food back. if I get tomatoes when I ask for none.. I pick them off. That being said DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The service was beyond horrible. The food was bad. Found a hair in my pizza. And WAAYYY to expensive. Dont get me wrong, I will pay for good food made with quality ingredients. But this food is garbage. You're better off buying a large pizza for 25 bucks than eating this sorry excuse for food. My salad had no croutons, and 3 DROPS of dressing. My pizza was barely cooked and they got my drink wrong. How do you mistake sprite for dr pepper? The employees treat you like a number, YELLING over the counter like its a stock exchange in NYC. Please, Im begging you, keep walking. Go pay 15 bucks at A&W, youll get the same grade of food.
