Savona's Trattoria

We drove up from Jersey and stopped here for dinner and was very impressed with everything. The food was amazing. Service superb. Ambience just right. Kudos to our waitress Jasmeen! She did a great job with us....very pleasant!Food: 5/5

Went here last night on a tip from a friend and man this place was really good. Friendly staff, very clean and well kept. Their attention to detail for covid cleaning was taken very seriously and professionally. Now on to the food. We started with the Sicilian holiday for two and it was fresh and remarkable charcuterie. I felt like I was back in Palermo Sicily at an outdoor restaurant. All that was missing was my expresso. Btw they had expresso but not in conjunction with the appetizer. This summer when hopefully COVID is gone I'll do and outdoor visit and enjoy this with some expresso. On to my meal. We got fresh hot seasoned bread sticks that were awesome and tasty. I ordered the chicken francese and it was served with roasted potato's and green beans. It was executed perfectly soft, tender, juicy and full of flavor. One of the best I have ever had outside of Sicily. The place is some and I think that works them any bigger and they might not be able to deliver food at this level of quality. You need to check this place out if in the area.

Delicious and large portions. The fettuccine bolonese was hearty and tasty. The chicken caprese Flatbread was excellent as well. Service was friendly and professional.

Perfection! Had lunch with my wife. We shared the fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was fried to perfection and the marinara sauce was simply delectable. I had the shrimp scampi, which was yummy, and my wife had the classic chicken Marsala. Both plates were cooked to perfection. The service was impressive and consistent. The tip reflected the quality of the food and service.

We visited from out of town and are so happy we chose Savona’s for dinner. To start the breadsticks were delicious, the pasta was fresh, and then the tiramisu was outstanding for dessert! Would highly recommend

We had our welcome party the night before our wedding at Savona’s in November 2022 and are so happy with our experience. The staff were kind and easy to work with, the food was amazing, the space was comfortable and cute, and honestly the price just cannot be matched for what you get anywhere in the area. We had multiple people tell us it was the best wedding welcome party they had ever been to! Highly recommend it for any event you might be planning!

UPDATED INFORMATION BELOW Had an early business dinner yesterday. We were seated at a table by the staff. Shortly after our meals were finished, before our server offered us dessert or even offered another drink we were forced to surrender our table. The place was empty, so I was perplexed, my prior experience dining out, usually I am offered dessert before and definitely asked to pay before I make room for the next guy. Worst part of this ejection, we were surrounded by empty tables. Whomever was so important never showed while we were still there. I always loved the food but next time, I'll go someplace else. Anyplace else. If you dare go, make sure they will let you finish your meal before taking your table away, I can not imagine what they would have done if there were no other tables available. UPDATED INFORMATION THEY TRAIN THEIR STAFF TO POLITELY TELL YOU YOU CAN'T SIT THERE ANYMORE Hi, Kevin. Again, I apologize that you were asked to relocate following your dinner. The guests that arrived at the bar have been coming to us for 15 years and always sit at that particular table. We’ve trained our staff to politely ask a table to relocate and buy a round of drinks for them when something like this occurs, which I understand is what happened with your table, you were asked to relocate after you were finished with dinner, you moved tables and we bought you a round of drinks for the inconvenience. Stopped to get something to eat before our hudson river cruise. The waitress was attentive and nice. I got the meatballs, they were good. Came with ricotta which was nice. They give out bread which was garlicky and delicious. The drink I had was strong.
