Save On Foods

I LOVE this location! The hot prepared foods, butcher & deli are huge. I love how they have all the international food aisles.. wish they had more European selections tho ie: Dutch . But seriously I appreciate having a store like this with this amount of variety. Definitely check it out!

Yesterday, March 26 /2023 approximately 5 pm. My husband and I had a bad experience in this store. I would give this zero stars.. We will not be returning. My husband and I witnessed a Security guard and a young female cashier that seemed to be discriminating against a non-white woman. From what we heard she had forgotten to pay for the water in the bottom of the cart. We heard her say she wanted to exchange that case for one in the front entrance. The Security Guard and especially the young woman at the Customer service seemed to think she was shoplifting. This is not what this was. It should not have been assumed by them as shoplifting. The woman in question was polite and well-mannered and should not have been treated this way. She was clearly a long time citizen born in Canada. What is happening in your store? Is this what you train your staff to do? I have read reviews of discrimination and harrassment by your staff. Some who are obvious newcomers to Canada. Are they fully trained to respect Canadians? It seem that they are not. Unfortunately you have lost a long time Save - On customer with us. No doubt you will lose other business if this kind of treatment towards Canadians continues. Hopefully you will implement sensitivity training to your staff, especially this female Customer Service Cashier and the Security Guard.

Was there on Dec 28th. There was barely any produce and what was there was disgusting. Frozen carrots put out??? Brown lettuce. No Bananas. The meat counter was an eye opener. It looked Ike all the meats and poultry had been sprayed with lacquer. It was shiny!!! Never again. Terrible

I like this place however I don't like from day one how they advertise their price for loose vegetables.. keep it simple and right. Lately, they have started to appear to have correct amounts. In the past, they always overcharge due to incorrect price labeling. Superstore and saveonfoods I always make sure items are priced correctly on the receipt.

Love this Save on Foods. Love the "Food Court" options. I always get the Chinese food. I also love the fact they have so many ethnic choices for items.

The international foods selection in this store is amazing, best I've seen. The overall selection is great, too, as is the bright, clean, spacious layout. I don't shop here often due to the distance, but when I make the trip, it's because they likely carry something I haven't been able to find elsewhere. Prices are nothing special - I regularly see items priced at twice what Superstore charges. Also, you really need their "More Rewards" card or the stores app to shop here, otherwise the prices for many products are even worse.

The store is very impressive. Great selection and by far the best store bought pie was still warm I've ever had, the crust was tender and flaky. Homemade sausages to 1.5" Cut steaks and kebabs with an amazing selection of baked items and even soft serve frozen yogurt with all the fixings. I had the Peach pie and it was delicious

This place is amazing!! Take the selection of international foods from Superstore, the produce quality of Sobeys, add good fast food choices.... And you have Save On. Price, selection, quality. It doesn't get any better for large grocery chains.

I wish I could give zero star for the experience I had today. I visit Save on Foods every week and everyone is friendly and kind. Today I went there to pick up a cake and the girl who helped me was extremely rude, unprofessional and lacked customer service knowledge. Her name is Alyssa/Alisha and she was wearing a white coat. I couldn’t reach out to a manager at that time as I was in a rush. But I hope an appropriate follow up is done. Save on foods is still a great place for food, fruits and other products. Thanks

I went to pick up online order. Pick up location at back of building. One small sign on front of store to give directions on the far side of the store. I came from the wrong entrance I guess. Once you get around the corner there are all kinds of signs! Two parking spots for customers. Missing items from order that took 3 telephone calls to straighten out. Not impressed.
