Cool spot for live music and cheap beer! The bar has a 70s home aesthetic to it with the wood paneling and the sofas. We played a show here and the sound was great. There wasn't a sound guy, but there was a mixer for us to use and the PA speakers were plenty loud. Bar is cash only and the drinks are limited, but the vibe more than makes up for that. Would recommend for anyone looking to book a bar venue in Chicago!
We had my girlfriend's 30th birthday party there, and they let us decorate earlier in the day, they provided speakers so we could hook up & play our own music, and we were able to bring in our own food. Evryone had a great time, it was a blast. Truly the best staff! Very accommodating & helpful. Jeff, Jason, & Joyce - we cannot thank you enough! If you'll have us, we'll be back!
We rocked the Savemore Lounge in Chicago most recently and think Savemore Lounge is a hella rad spot!!! Reminds us of Early CBGBs. Proud to have it a part of our legacy!
Pepe it's an awesome guy. Great place to be great environment. Great sound if you're a band and are always open for opportunity for those who want to make the name for themselves. Not a lot of places like this anymore in Chicago
Dive as Dive can get. Lots of good post-punk bands lately. Cheap and stiff drinks. Good times. Edit: now without Pepe and Ofelia the place is dead. No more post punk or cool bands. It will be another dive bar. Too bad it flew to close to the sun and now lost The best employees they had.
Love this place. Staff is attentive. They have live music Thurs-Sun and even has an open mic w/ FREE PIZZA Wednesday. Did I mention the drink specials are super affordable and a great selection.
This is a surprisingly nice bar. Sure from the outside it looks like a total dive and the wood paneling may be old and covering who knows what. But the servers are friendly, the pieces good and the selection is great. Also it's fault quiet so you can sit with friends and have a conversation or watch the game never having to worry about a crowd or noise.
Excellent low key bar with live music! Staff is friendly and cool as well. Their low prices are unmatched!!
I mean, I met my man here. Which doesn't say much since this place is never busy outside of a Saturday night music line up and Ribfest. The drinks are cheap, the company is fairly friendly, and there's a decent pool table. I personally love this place, as it is one of my haunts. But it's definitely for the dive bar lovers. However, their music is pretty good. Tends to lean on the bluegrass side.
Played a show here last night; was a lot of fun. Staff was friendly, place was clean. Cash only no beers on tap. Fantastic taste in music
