eHealth Saskatchewan has been hands-down the most useless and incompetent service I’ve ever dealt with. I’m trying to extend my health card while IRCC processes my application. I’m on maintained status. SGI renewed my driver’s license instantly, no issues at all. But eHealth? They act completely clueless and keep insisting they “can’t do anything” until I get my new permit, even though the rules clearly say I’m legally allowed to stay and work.nNo one gives straight information, no one takes responsibility, and no one seems to actually know the policy they’re supposed to follow. It’s honestly embarrassing how disorganized and unprofessional this place is. Something that should be simple turns into a nightmare because they can’t keep their own processes straight. Easily the worst experience I’ve had with any public service in Saskatchewan. Absolutely brutal.
Incredible phone support from Bojana M. Very kind, polite and helpful answering my questions. Been in the process of a health card replacement and with Canada Post striking, I was uncertain over the status of if I'd get a card or not. Bojana made sure to answer my questions promptly and made sure I received a letter of coverage in the meantime. Was on hold for less than 5 minutes and call was done in 10 minutes.
Edit: after reaching out to them on Facebook and explaining my situation we received extraordinary service. Id give 5 stars if I didn't have to leave a review in the first place, but at least they handled it.nnMy wife is pregnant and eHealth still expects us to wait months for a health card. In the meantime, she has no proof of coverage for medically necessary care and we’re told to pay out of pocket. With the cost of living crushing families, this is unacceptable. Even private insurance companies provide same-day proof of coverage by email or app — a public health system should meet that basic standard. Delays like this are unfair, unsafe, and out of touch with reality.
Still possibly the worst government website in Canada.nnApplied for a new card a year ago and haven't got it. Since them haven't been able to navigate to the page I need to re order. The link just takes you back to the first page. Maybe because I'm on a mobile device but this web page sucks!nnAlso the web page mentions you can come into the office and apply in person but doesn't give an address! Even in the contact us or about us page doesn't have the address.nnFire your web designer unless it's a 5 year old kid then maybe he's doing a good job.
My experience with eHealth Saskatchewan was extremely frustrating. The services were slow, communication was poor, and I had a hard time getting any clear answers or support. It felt like my concerns were not taken seriously, and navigating their system was confusing and time-consuming. Definitely needs major improvements in customer service and efficiency. I would not recommend relying on eHealth Saskatchewan based on my experience.
