Everything is delicious here, Focchia bread is the best with a side salad and blue cheese dressing. Had manicotti, arugula balsamic pizza, fried lake perch and shrimp scampi. Adriane is the best server
Update May, 2018 We ordered pick up and it took them almost 2 hours to get it right. I was told 35-40 minutes when I called, so my boyfriend waited 40 minutes to pick up the food even though we were starving. When he got there they told him they lost his pizza and would have to wait. After 30 minutes of sitting around, still no pizza. He finally got home 2 hours after I initially placed the order and I live 3 minutes away. The pasta I ordered was cold, and they charged $6 for one lonely meatball. The only thing this shop has going for them is that the pizza is actually decent. I wouldn't go back if this town had more than a handful of options, especially passed 8PM or on a Sunday. Jan, 2018 We came here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. The place is poorly lite. We got the seafood linguine and chicken parm. The seafood linguine is okay. Chicken parm is not fried, it is grilled. Lots of people get pizzas to go. We can see why because the focaccia is pretty good. We'll try the pizza next time. Overall experience was okay.
Great food but the wait after ordering was over an hour and there was a huge is of people next to us that insisted on standing and talking to each other the entire time instead of sitting like civilized human beings so they were always over our shoulders yelling at one another to hear. It felt more like a bar than a restaurant now after they remodeled. Very loud environment... But still great food if you're willing to wait.
My husband came in to see the art fair and celebrate our 10yr anniversary. We took a chance with a suggestion from Google maps to check out this restaurant...... and was not disappointed. Even though they had service going on in the banquet hall and a class reunion in the dining area, we were still able to sit and eat out on the beautiful deck. Service was great. Our waitress was beyond Awesome! And the food was spectacular!!!! We had calamari and peeled shrimp as appetizers followed by a hoagie for my husband and an egg plant parmesan for myself. Huge, huge servings! Other then trees covering/hiding the sign and driving by it .... this place was beyond expectations and we'll diffently visit again and recommend.
If you are a Chicagoan don't bother, if you are a Chicago Italian and don't heed the heads up, then the only redemption is a nice long confession! Pasta dishes served on metal lined, wood meat platters should be a crime, ok a sin! The gravy, yuck! The Calamari was decent, but please, please, hold the dry parsley! The 8" pizza would have been decent but it was so stinking salty. My advice, do not get the sausage pizza as it is more Shabogian bratwurst than Italian sausage. This could be a better place with some tweaks, the exterior is cute, the interior, not so much. The staff can not pronounce the dishes and have no concept of the Italian meal. Hope you are not hungry, because we have watched people literally leave because of no and slow service.
Picked this place because they had outdoor seating. Steak was decent but overcooked. Pizza crust tasted like it was frozen and made in some factory somewhere, sauce wasn't anything to write home to mother about. Took over an hour to get our food. They did not seem to be short staffed but maybe the staff had worked long shifts? We ordered two small pizzas, the Ribeye, mozzarella sticks and a beer and bill was $100
Not worth the money. Spent $70 on a pizza, bread sticks, a salad and two beers. The waitress disappeared for about 15 minutes after we told her we needed a sec to look over the menu. Then we were told the pizza would take 45 minutes. Buy the time it arrived we were full on salad and bread sticks so we took it to go. I can't tell if they forgot the pepperoni and added it after the pizza was cooked. Never seen them just laid on the top over everything cooked. They were cold. Blah.
Don't know where to begin. Serving staff was not engaging nor proactive, might be because they were understaffed but didn't look like it. We had to ask for dinnerware, napkins and tell our server we were ready to order. Food was decent nothing great. Portions were inconsistent. My steak order should sum it up. I ordered medium-rare. Believe it sat in expediting station a bit too long as it was only warm when it arrived. From ordering to food arriving was well over an hour. Kinda hard to deal with when there are 5 kids with you.
We have eaten there 5 times every time the Pizza was BURNT and had to be remade even after asking them not burn it. They always made it right so plan on over an hour to eat. Also be careful lighting is poor to see how done the bottom is, if you order to go. If they get it right good pizza. I do not know if it worth the time.
Amazing food! Pricey but well with it!
