Service was fast and friendly and prices decent. The Tonkotsu was flavourful. You can choose between thick and thin noodles. They have a vegetarian dish and another one without pork. The only downside was the heat. We were seated at the upstairs tables, right above the kitchen, with no ventilation. The air coming up was humid and dry, and some of us couldn’t finish their meal. Also, we were asked to keep it down, so you may want to take that into account if you’re going with your team and they’re more on the loud side.
The ramen was actually decent. Flavourful broth, eggs were done very nicely as well. The Gyoza however were burnt and undercooked somehow with absolutely zero flavour. Even the dipping sauce had no flavour. My daughter couldn’t eat hers. The people were kind but I wouldn’t go again. There’s too many similar places where you can go to have a more consistent culinary experience.
Came here on a cold rainy day. It was just the thing to warm our tummies. Amazing ramen. The flavors and presentations are just so beautiful! The service is also great. Would definitely recommend.
Good ramen! Both were flavourful and rich. Ordered the spicy tan tan and the tonkatsu. I wish the spicy tan tan contained the black fungus instead of the bamboo shoots. The tonkatsu was nicely seasoned and the meat was tender. Would come again to try other flavours.
love this Asian restaurant! Last time I tried Sansoitei was in Toronto, so happy that they open this Ramen restaurant in Montreal. BTW Japanese food is a little bit more salty, if you don't like salty you should not try the Japanese food.
I'm clearly not a ramen expert, just a fanboy, because it's pretty easy to satisfy me, and Sansotei didn't disappoint. Lovely decor, fast service, Hitachino nest beers $$ and most importantly, delicious ramen. I tried the spicy tantan, it could have been a bit more spicy, but the broth was rich, lots of ground pork, the chasu was excellent, the egg perfectly cooked. You can choose thin or thick noodles. Price and portions are fair. Possibly my favorite ramen place in town.
Family vacation and my daughter had a ramen craving and found this place. Ramen was excellent and the broth was rich and flavourful. The chasu had a nice smoky taste. The chicken karaage was fresh and the dark meat was juicy. Highly recommended.
Best ramen I've eaten in Montreal yet, the flavors are so rich! The service is very friendly, the restaurant is clean and the interior design is really nice as well.
Very nice place for good ramen ! The broth is delicious , close to real taste in Japan. Ingredients are generous and good quality Place is nice and service is fast. Will definitely come back !
First time ordering from Sansotei Ramen, the broth was good not too salty. The portions is good for delivery , I ordered from other place and got smaller bowl for the same price. Also the option to get the broth on the side is nice if you live further away. It's not my favorite ramen in Montréal but i would definitely try it again if I'm in the area. :
