Quite possibly the best seafood I've ever eaten. You must treat yourself to the seafood tower! It comes with multiple tiers, our bottom layer was on ice with crab legs, shrimp cocktail, oysters, and octopus ceviche, and the top layer had beautiful lobster tails, cooked shrimp, piled on top of a mountain of clams and mussels in a bath of the most luxurious broth. This was a quiet, trendy spot with a real cozy vibe to it. Wait staff was excellent and handled all of our needs with great care. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!
We went on a Sunday night, it was not super busy we reserved on the phone. We were four, we started with the seafood tower for two. It was enough for 3.I had the Surf and Turf + Arancini. It's on the pricier end, but everything was cooked to perfection. Service was great. i would return.
Perfect place for an evening with the ladies. Charming ambiance, nice lounging area, tasty cocktails, delicious food. • The beet tartare was zesty and fresh, the Arancinis were rich, comforting with a touch of heat. The bison shortrib was delicious, my friends raved about the seafood risotto and the churros were the hit of the evening • Special thanks to Sam who provided great menu recommendations and offered us wonderful service throughout the evening. • Overall lovely evening, we will return shortly.
One of my favourite places in Gatineau! The atmosphere and service are excellent and food is supreme. A tad expensive but you get the quality that you’re paying for. The seafood risotto is out of this world, so that’d be my top recommendation. The grilled romaine is also good and less expensive. Cocktails are a must!
Happy to see that this place is getting mostly all great reviews because the place is awesome! Totally didn't expect this being from Montreal and thinking everything in Gatineau is boring but I was wrong! Service was amazing, the vibes were sooo there and yeah the food was beautiful and delicious just look at those pics We left before the music got louder and the bottles started popping because we had other engagements to attend but I would've loved to have stayed longer at this Sunday lunch! Only thing you should know is that it can get very expensive if you're not careful but I didn't mind...this place can take my money again lol Reserve now because it's hard to get a table especially for their Sunday Brunch! I'll be 100% back...sooner than later!
Sans Façon has become a mainstay for my friends and I. I believe it may be one of the best restaurants in thr Gatineau/Ottawa region. We consistently order the Romaine Salad with the most lovely pork belly. The oysters are fresh, and I love the arancini. The highlight though is the Truffle Pasta. It is PERFECTLY eldente and rich. As an Italian, I rarely eat pasta from a restaurant, but this is exceptional and I would and have recommend it to anyone. The service has ALWAYS been consistent and friendly. As an anglophone, I appreciate their attentiveness and professionalism. Bravo!

This dish is simply outstanding, and it's easy to see why I loved it. The tartare is expertly prepared, with the meat finely chopped and mixed with just the right amount of seasoning. It's served with a light and refreshing salad, which perfectly complements the richness of the meat. The combination of flavors and textures is truly divine, making it a standout dish on the menu. The Burrata at Sans-Façon is simply divine. The cheese is incredibly creamy and full of flavor. The sweetness and saltiness of the cheese are perfectly balanced, making it a truly addictive dish. The Burrata is served with bacon and pickled veggies, which add smokiness, acidity, and crunch to the dish, making it even more flavorful and interesting. In addition to the food, the drinks at Sans-Façon are also fantastic. The Gisèle, which the server mentioned, is an absolute standout. The drink is a perfect blend of mint, cucumber, and lemon, making it a refreshing and delicious choice. The combination of flavors is unique and incredibly refreshing, making it a perfect choice to pair with any meal. One thing that sets Sans-Façon apart from other restaurants is the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience. The Wapiti Tartare and Burrata are both standout dishes, and the Gisèle is the perfect drink to complement any meal. The attention to detail and friendly service make it a truly exceptional dining experience. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend giving Sans-Façon a try. Parking: couple of spots along the street, a parking for about 25 cars on the side.
We had supper there a little while back and we would return. The food was excellent aand service was great. Our dishes at the time were also "torche" finished which was a pretty unusual experience! A bit pricey but worth a visit. :-
Beautiful ambiance to this restaurant. It has a great vibe and very chic appearance. Food portions are smaller and on the higher end in price but seems about right for its presentation and standard for this type of restaurant - fine dining. The service is nice and done fairly well for just recently coming out of lockdown and it being the first week or so back from being permitted to have indoor dining.
Food + vibe is soo nice! Pictured below is the seafood risotto recommend, truffle fries + tacos. The only downside is the food took a bit too long to reach the table.
