If I could give this park negative star ratings, I would. This park needs new management. Brian and Mary are extremely rude, unprofessional, and unfair people, and that is putting it mildly. This is a Mickey Mouse operation, they’re pretending to run a business, but it’s a total joke. I can’t even take them seriously. It is privately owned, and he is a sad miserable soul as well. You’re basically paying good money to hang out in the owner’s backyard – and then you’re having to deal with their discourteous and ill-mannered approach?? NOT how you want to spend your weekends away! We went to this park somewhat reluctantly because the management was RUDE on the phone when we called to inquire about availability. But the location worked for us, so we took the plunge after seeing the park. We invested A LOT of money in a few short weeks, to make our site exactly how we wanted it. In hindsight, we should have read the google reviews first because that would have painted enough of a negative picture for us to walk away before wasting all that time and money. We had the misfortune of being stuck next to a very unfriendly couple – site 17 - just in case anyone is interested in the park, I would steer clear of any site near these people. Brenda is way too nosey for her own good and she wants to place boss on your site. Management approved for us to install a pergola and then $4000 later, Brenda convinced them to have us pull it down. Lights are allowed up to 11pm. We had string lights up STRING LIGHTS and somehow, she convinced management that they were TOO BRIGHT and those had to come down as well. This is only a small example of what we had to deal with. Of course, after repeated attempts to kybosh anything we did on OUR SITE, this sent my husband into a tailspin, which resulted in them having words. Sadly, Mary & Brian's poor management capabilities could not handle this type of dispute, and ultimately, we were forced out. We wanted to be at a nice, quiet park where our privacy was respected, but this place is anything but that. If you don’t want drama on your weekends away, this park is NOT for you. It’s unfortunate because the rest of the bunch at this park are fantastic and we met some truly great people. I guess there is always one bad apple to spoil it for the bunch. I suggest anyone looking for a park in the area visit The Light House, Grand River or Century Park – all very professionally managed and MUCH MUCH NICER grounds as well. Do not waste your time or money here.
I looked on the website for information and there wasn't much listed, so I called the business to inquire. All I asked was what the site fees are and whats included. The owner / man who answered the phone went off on an angry rant and refused to answer my questions. He said answering questions is like taking a survey and he wont do it. He said he would only answer if I am willing to drop everything and do a tour right now.. and in his next breath he said but he doesn’t want me in his park anyway. I was shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was. I was looking for a quiet park to buy a trailer in, and this one is extremely unfriendly, I wont bother scheduling a tour now. I do not recommend this park, very negative atmosphere.
It's ok, not really much there to do. Great for mature people, but not so much for younger crowd. However, very quiet and relaxing if that's what you are looking for.
I called to see if they had any seasonal spots available for this year. The manager, Brian, said that he did have a spot that needed to be cleaned up first. He asked me what size my trailer was and than asked if I had any dogs, so I said yes. He asked me how many, I hesitantly told him 3, as I wasn't sure why he was asking that. I read their pet policy before contacting them and had no intentions of trying to take them with me. I asked about pricing and what not, and Brian says, we aren't going to rent to you, I was shocked by his tone with me, so I asked him why not, and he said because you have dogs. He tried to say something else to me but I just said ok and hung up. He was not friendly at all and to judge me because I have 3 dogs, is absurd. I just wanted a spot that was close to home and would be able to enjoy for the whole summer and not just a weekend here and there.
An awesome place for the family to enjoy seasons long trailer camping. The management are extremely helpful and so sweet. The only real improvement would be nice to see is new street signs and maybe a play area for the children who come up.
I have been hospitalized for more the 20 weeks with MRSA and have had a leg amputated. During this time the management forced me out even stating my trailer was too old although it fell well within thier rule of 20 years old. I had no way of getting to the trailer to gather things that were dear to me. I sold the trailer for a songfortunately the people who bought it are getting good use as I had no choice. It is my opinion that there are several far superior parks willing to offer services.
What a great community, private beach for the park, and awesome events. I liked how the rules were enforced because it was quiet after certain hours, safe, and I haven't felt that welcomed in a long time. I will definitely be back.
