This is THE best Hong Kong style food I’d ever had! The sweet and sour pork is very well cooked, batter is not too thick and the pork is succulent! Lobster noodles is stunning! The noodles literally absorbed all the sauce and is just “Al dente” Soy sauce chicken is so good! Speechless quality!
The food is excellent and very high end. One of the few restaurants in Vancouver that tastes authentic as in Hong Kong. The food came very quickly. Very typical Chinese atmosphere. Everyone's talking, expect noisy background. Very lively. but the service is almost to none only serve the foods up to the table and the bill . It feels like buffet. We grab our own plates from the sides. Understaff, 1 waitress Also the tableware and the utensils are not fully sanitized because I still feel the slippery on the cup I used and it tastes weird. Not sure if it has been fully sanitized at all. perhaps I have to do the Hong Kong style. Wash the tableware and the utensils first before I use it. If you are well, prepare and want to try the authentic Hong Kong atmosphere and the food. This is the right place. I recommend advance reservation because there was a long line up when I came 7. :00 p.m.
When the Double Boiled Winter Melon Soup was brought to the table, we all realized that it's almost impractical to make this at home. It's so huge and hardly finished by 8 of us. The soup is delicious and full of ingredients. Scooped all winter melon out was fun though. You cannot miss the signature dish Soy Sauce Chicken and the spicy vermicelli in hot pot is very nice too.
We went for king crab on Friday. The food was very tasty. We also appreciate the service
Excellent Chinese food, but of the variety that isn't found at every other Chinese restaurant. Stir fried eggs with fish stomach. Braised pork and ligaments until they melt in your mouth. Black pepper beef that you can eat with no teeth. Sizzling pot of satay shrimp and vermicelli. Stuff I've never seen before but oh so delicious and well prepared with plenty of "wok hay". But it's definitely a small local joint that caters to locals. Decor is non existent and the service is the usual under staffed and no nonsense type of service. They're there to take your order and bring you food. They are not paid enough to smile and fuss over you like at western restaurants so set your expectations right before you go in.
Disappointing. Portions are bigger, prices are higher but the tastes don’t hit the spot. Ordered the famous soy sauce chicken- quite tender, but not a bit too salty. It’s an okay dish. Oyster omelette, stir fry garlic veggies and sweet and sour pork were just okay. Not exactly a satisfying Cantonese meal.
Quality food and price is reasonable here. Seats are comfortable, staffs are attentive. Recommended.
One of the most authentic Cantonese restaurants! The waitresses are all super friendly and inviting. Dishes were perfectly seasoned, large portions too. A must try is the crab with rice cakes. A hidden gem that never disappoints!
Wow. What a great experience. The food was outstanding. The staff could not have been more warm and inviting. They were all very curious how three white folk found their way to the restaurant and were eager to tell us their favourite dishes. Throughout our meal they kept checking on us to see which dishes we liked best. One server remembered one of us didn't eat pork and before bringing the complimentary soup course she asked if it was ok to bring since it was made from pork broth yes, and it was great!. We ordered vermicelli prawns, special halibut, curry crab and half soy chicken preorder when reserving. Portions are large and we had waaaay too much food. Cash only, not cheap, but truly excellent service and food. Looking forward to returning with larger group.
New location and taste as good as before! Has to be one of the best Chinese restaurant in Richmond when it comes to price, quality of food and consistency. Best known for their King crab dishes. Busy as always.
