Sam’s Grill Brantford

My inner Newfoundlander has been awoken once again by Sam's Grill Brantford! Did you know they have a HALIFAX DONAIR on the menu‽ The pita was perfect, the sauce was sticky sweet, the meat was profoundly potent, sprinkled with fresh tomatoes & onions, and messy as all hell -just the way it should be. Kudos Sam's Grill, you made my evening.

So let's start off with the shake I had was amazing. The strawberry shake had real fruit in it so that was the best part of my experience. The lady asked "dine in or take out " I said take out. She put everything on a tray like I was staying. She quickly packed everything up and handed it to me. She didn't cook the fries long enough, by the time I got back to my parents place " visiting for Christmas " the poutine I ordered was soggy and not worth the price I paid for it. This is from improper cooking of the fries. My father owned a very successful fish and chips restaurant I know how fries are supposed to be. This was not it. They tasted like they were blanched and served, not blanched sat for some time and cooked like they're supposed to be. No golden brown colour and soggy. Properly cooked fries don't get soggy in a 5 minute drive.... Just saying. Hopefully you do better next time.

Not impressed. Way over priced for what you get. We both got the Montreal sandwiches. Bread was soggy. Ordered bacon and cheese on both and the bacon was like the bacon you get at McDonald's. The cheese was a Kraft processed cheese slice. Both were a $1 extra each item. Probably won't be back. Not worth the $$ spent for the garbage we were served. Fries were under cooked and they don't even use real cheese curds.

Just stopped by on my way from hamilton, this is hands down best burger I have had in years. A regular beef burger is the perfect size and tastes perfect. Thank you so much for a delicious meal.Food: 5/5

I've only tried the burger so far, but it was fantastic! I would imagine everything else would be great as well. The staff was so friendly as well! I'll definitely be a regular customer. So glad I finally tried it!

Best poutine we've ever had! Super fresh ,hot and yumm! Owner at the fromt counter is humble and helpful. Their milkshakes are pretty damn good too.

You will be hard pressed to find a better donair. Top 2, best donair I've ever had, EASY. Onion rings are surprisingly good too. Definitely give this place a shot, photos online don't do the taste justice! Staff are funny and friendly. Great location; ample seating is the perfect spot to eat and enjoy alone or with friends. Clean and bright. Love it!

Friendly employees, great burgers that are always fresh, good poutine. I kind of wish they salted the fries before they gave them to you, but they have salt and vinegar right next to where they hand you the food so i cant complain about that.
