Saltlik Banff

Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. The service was great from the moment I called for a reservation (they were able to accommodate a table of 8 for the parade night) up until we left. The low star rating reflects the quality of the steak which everyone at the table found to be disappointing for the price point. Steaks were not cooked as requested - for the thicker cuts, they were cooked well done on the outside with the inside being rare. There was also an issue with the overall toughness, with several guests having trouble just cutting through the steaks. Non-steak mains and side dishes were all well prepared and delicious.

Went there around 6pm without making a reservation for myself. I got a table right away and the server was very friendly. My steak came within 15 mins after ordering and it was perfectly cooked as I asked for medium rare. The sauce was a bit too salty for me although it tasted fantastic. The side of salad was amazing too. The only thing not satisfied was they don't serve bread with steak. And it can make me feel they are a bit overpriced.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Lineups for this place both times I have been here have been very reasonable. The staff and waitresses are EXTREMELY pleasant, and very friendly. And their food is absolutely delicious. They serve a gnocchi dish in the winter that is fabulous, and their steaks they serve with an in-house sauce is unique and wonderful. We will definitely come here again.

Do Not Eat Here. Horrible service, Horrible food. waited 10 min to be greeted by our server who had an attitude and zero empathy. It pretty much went south from there. Manager said a quick sorry then never saw him again. There is way to many options to have to go through this just to drop 125 per person. Do your self a favor and go to The Maple Leaf or Melissa's Missteak instead.

A nice dining experience for the whole family. Good food, good wine and good food. I had the lamb which was excellent and my wife had the steak which was mediocre, very chewy and not worth the price. The deserts were excellent.
