Their sushi is so good and the building is absolutely beautiful. I been there 3 times and their sushi is so fulfilling along with their sashimi. I also love the chopstick helpers! I always had trouble holding chopsticks, so getting the chopstick helpers really does help me, no other sushi place that I've been to has that. This place is not too far from where I live so it's easy to locate. It never disappoints. Will come here more often. My favorite dishes there are both the Dancing Tuna and Kamikaze rolls.
My husband and I had been interested in checking out Sakana for a while now and yesterday we finally had the chance to! Our server Amanda was truly wonderful. She had an upbeat, positive attitude and was knowledgeable about the menu—you can tell that she truly enjoys working there! My husband and I decided to each start off with their 12oz Hot Sake , dumplings and oysters—all of which were phenomenal. We’re typically really big on Sashimi but with the cold weather we decided to try their entrees. I ordered the Pao Krapow and he tried the Duck, both of these were hands down some of the best meals we’ve had from a Sushi Bar! We ended the meal with a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake and green tea ice cream. The only thing I wish is that they had an espresso machine but Amanda was so kind as to accommodate us with cups of coffee! If you’re in the area, I would definitely recommend visiting and BONUS they do a happy hour menu all day on Sundays!
My partner and I have been here twice now and each experience was just so great! It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a laid-back environment, a huge menu where everything is delicious amazing apps, an extensive vegan sushi & entree menu, great cocktails, and an incredibly kind staff. Seriously we just love this place! It’s the perfect step up from just a “regular night out.” We will be back again and again. Also a special thanks to our last waitress Hannah who even took the time to show us how to correctly use chopsticks as seen in photo! Kidding, but she was absolutely lovely and attentive! In search for a New Sushi Bar we recommend Sakana Sushi Bar and Lounge! Sushi here was some of the best I've had in a while! We had a few of the House Specialty Rolls including: Popcorn Lobster Roll, Yum Yum Roll, and Cabo Roll! There were SO MANY more rolls to choice from we will have to come back for more! Location on Rocky River was good and easy to get to. Restaurant itself was clean, and good size. There was a Bar to sit at and drink, eat and watch TV. Clean on the inside and staff was nice. Recommend trying out Sakana one day! They also have half price Sushi on Tuesdays! Takeout or in house.
Sakana is by far our family’s favorite restaurant. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious and my kids love their chopstick “cheaters”. The flavor and dish choices are so authentic. If there was ever a time the dish was off, it was quickly fixed with no problem. They have great happy hour options and times
One of my favorite places for Sushi! We drive 30 minutes just to come here. Service is sometimes hit or miss but times are tough for servers. The lunch specials are excellent and they have a great happy hour! I love the spicy tuna deluxe roll, but every one I have had is great!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
I had Sakana for the first time with two of my girlfriends on Friday night as take out! It was so good that I came back today for a second round and got to dine in and see the beautiful restaurant!! Absolutely delicious sushi. Great quality & service, good music, good vibes all around! Will be back in a heart beat & frequently!
Juan our server was very personable and wonderful. This was the second time of visiting sakana and it did not disappoint. The cosmo cocktail , atmosphere and the food is delightful. Highly recommend checking out. They also seem to always be busy with to go orders so the food seems to be good to-go as well.
I’ve been to dozens of sushi spots & am a huge fan of nigiri, specifically. This is probably some of the BEST I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how they prepare their fish but the salmon is absolutely delicious and the toro is amazing, both are SO fresh & buttery literally melt in your mouth!. The rice to fish ratio is always perfect and the all-day Sunday happy hour is ideal for ordering the nigiri options. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Excellent experience. Check out the King Salmon nigiri special on Sundays for only $3 each. It melts in your mouth.
