Safeway Victoria Square

I was in there to grab afew things as I shop there all the time. But noticed this security following me around the whole store and lurking around keeping an eye on me. It ruined my day and shopping, i felt uncomfortable, discriminated, and furious. I called him out and even complained at costumer service. Nothing was probably done I don't think I will be going there for awhile. If your of color be prepared to be followed, watched, and uncomfortable. Literally feels like a pervert is following you around. This occurred Friday August 1st.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!nThis location overall is outstanding always clean well stocked and has everything youll need.nI want to give a massive shout out to Lea in the bakery I had a custom cake made for my spouse. I had to come in the week prior to order it as i was leaving town for a few days.nLea was so unbelievably helpful when ordering in store getting me set up for a great surprise for my spouse.nOn pick up day Lea recognized me from the week prior and was super quick and all around amazing to get me out the door and on my way.nGive this amazing staff member a huge raise promotion and a company car! Everyone should strive to have the work ethic of this lady!

Every time I visit I am so very happy with everything in this store. Fresh products, friendly staff, very clean and organised areas. A special shout out to Alyssa who helped me on an early Sunday morning with many balloons. She went above and beyond making sure I’m leaving with everything I wanted. This is very special for me as I had wrong information about when the floral /balloons section opens on Sundays and she helped me although she wasn’t from that department. She saw I’m running out of time trying to get balloons for a surprise and she did not hesitate to help. And while preparing the balloons she was so kind and friendly. Her gesture totally made my whole day and if it wasn’t for her all my plans for the day would have gotten screwed.

The service has always been pleasant and available when I required it.nnI usually can find everything I need but only after I have figured out the layout of the store to find the items I require.nnIt is clean and like I say it depends when you visit, the aisles are usually clear. This last time there were people restocking the shelves.nnThe items are priced not bad, you do have to watch it sometimes as it is not always the best place to purchase everything you need when you are on a budget. Splitting up some of your purchases could help with that, but that depends on your time and what it is worth to you.

The employee’s at the deli were great and their customer service was great! I rated this a 1 star though because while we were ordering their manager came and started yelling at the employee’s. She started yelling at the employee’s why there was no more FRESH foods displayed at the deli but the employees explained that they had transferred it to the other area where the hot foods go. She then kept going and said there should always be food here because it was only 6pm, but to my knowledge the deli closes at 7, so i do not understand why she had to yell ESPECIALLY while customers were ordering. Mind you the employees could not cook fresh food right away because they were taking orders. This behaviour was very unprofessional coming from a manager. If behaviour needed to be corrected she did not have to yell in front of customers.
