Safeway Northgate Mall Regina

A large grocery store in the Northgate Mall. It has ample parking. A variety of daily use items . It's a favorite place for nearby residents, particularly ladies. Prices are reasonable. Staff is also cooperative.

I went shopping there on April 28 and forgot to check expiry dates on the food. I should have checked first before buying it. Then finding mold growing on the food. My snack pack a grape is growing mold. That seriously disappointing. The questionable quality does not make me want to shop at this location anymore. I will stick to the east end Safeway. Plus the cashier I had was unpleasant and not as friendly as the people in the east end Safeway.

Produce is never any good. Apples are usually rotten, covered in bruises or have mysterious holes in them. Meat is also not good. The public washroom has got to be the worst of the location. 9/10 its always filthy and the toilet isnt sealed properly.

The entrance end from the mall there is never any baskets And there is a spot for baskets, I was told from an employee that they don't have enough baskets to put there. The produce section I have decided just to skip it because most times the produce Isn't that great. I know superstore sells a lower grade but at least it's full fresh and crisp. This is my Niece section in safeway in Burcoquitlam bc.nThese past months I will add that it looks a lot better and baskets and the mall Entrance really help. Thank you safeway

Yes ,I am disappointed at the prices at Safeway . The price has gone up more then three time this week. My husband and I are on a pension and try to manage putting food on the table everyday. My husband and I have been coming to Safeway for ten years ? Then fast forward to October 2022 . So what are the problems you're having when it comes to food? Well the meat is very high in price ,fruit, salad , Milk , Cereal, frozen food , and the bakery is beyond our Budget. So we try to shop for Mark down prices to get by. Which has change the way we eat now. We talk to the crasher and they said more prices will be constantly going up until the end of the year 2022. I Betty ask the cashier do you think price Gouging is going on. I didn't get an answer. How rude. So there is my opinion of Safeway and My husband and I said this is the last day for us shopping here and will look for a different shopping store. We think we're going to Superstore for the deals and they take the points card we get from Shoppers Drug Mark. Thank You for your opinion.
