Safeway Prince Rupert

OK, we have a Safeway in our local hometown. Seemed funny and fun to find one here at Prince Rupert BC. Almost the same set up with a Starbucks located inside. Nice produce, great bakery, all the cheese you could ever want plus more. The store is clean well organized, and the staff was friendly.

They have good prices for the groceries we get and the weekly deals are a nice touch. The only problem we had was buying moldy tortillas without realizing before we opened itthe mold was hidden behind the logo and color

This Safeway is not nice to Americans. Stopped at the store to get something to drink while off the cruise, the cashier was extremely rude, refused to allow me to use my club card, laughed and rolled her eyes at me and refused to get the manager.

The cost of food is outrageous. The need to have prices half again as much is taking advantage of people. Maybe they need to look at what is an acceptable profit margin and what people can afford.

Good deals and every day needs. When I grew up on Haida Gwaii and ever needed to go to Prince Rupert for medical needs would always do a big shop here.
