Safeway Parking

Warning! Do not park in your car in this parking lot! THEY WILL TOW YOUR CAR! I went to old port yesterday and left my car in this parking lot. At first the machine did not read my card so it took me 10 minutes to pay for parking after trying another credit card. The machine there is not user friendly at all. I was with my 1 year old baby so once i paid i took the stub with me and left the lot. I paid for parking from 3-5pm (2 hours) for $10.00. I came back to my car at 4:45 pm and it was gone! I then called the phone number that was on a sign in the parking lot and they did not answer until 15 mintues. I was stuck in a parking lot with my baby not knowing where my car was. I kept calling and finally they answered my call and told me my car was towed and that it's $100 to get it back. I then had to walk around to find a taxi that cost me another $10.00 to get to the towing place and pick up my car. when i got there one side of my car was completely dirty because they had gone through a mud puddle. I complained that it was not right that they towed my car even though i have proof i paid for 2 hours!! I had to struggle with my baby to get my car back. This parking lot is there to steal your money! The next day i called the parking lot to complain and ask about how i can contest this and get my money back and the guy was not friendly at all and would not help me on the phone and just told me to call back because he is busy. This is terrible customer service and business. I will escalate this to the company Stationnement Safeway. Do not leave your cars here!
