We stopped in for some snacks and drinks while we stayed in Dillon for the weekend. The store was mostly well-stocked and had a great selection. Prices are typical for Safeway stores and the current economy. The place was pretty busy. Our cashier didn't say much, wasn't too friendly, but also wasn't rude. It might have been the end of a long shift, so I get it. There was also some parts of the store that could use some maintenance like broken shelves. Overall, it was a decent stop that fulfilled our needs.
The checker was incredibly rude. She didn't acknowledge the elderly gentleman in front of us at all during the entire transaction. She did the same exact thing to us, no acknowledgment, no manners, just handed me the receipt. Do it to me fine but to an older gentleman, no class! This is common courtesy, isn't anyone auditing checkers to ensure good customer service?!!
Wish there were more options of grocery stores in DillionnThe bakery top tier. The Dillon bakery is consistently unmatched in quality, availability and staff. The staff in bakery is the best. You can even do custom cakes. I love stopping by and looking at some of their creations. The jumbo cupcakes are my favorite if you want a cake but there's just one or two of you.
A sign of the times? We are traveling and stop here for deli food. There was no baked or fried chicken. They were out of several other food items. The server told us that they have not had a delivery for two days and many items throughout the store are out of stock. Yes this is a small rural town in Montana but one has to wonder about supply issues and availability elsewhere.
Why do 90% of your baked goods contain bioengineered ingredients? I was looking for something the other day and was shocked to see this in a supposed hometown bakery. I walked out and went to Town & Country.
