If you're not local, stay away. Watched, I'm guessing, the owner talk on the phone for 5-10 minutes, then have a nice conversation with a local about size 20 baetis hatches, and ask how his wife was doing. Then our turn. When we said when we drove up AZ and asked what was fishing well, (Big hole, Poindexter, Beaverhead, or Jefferson) and he said any of them were fine and that he needed to finish tying flies for a catalog order. He then told a younger girl to pick some flies out for us. Nevermind we had all our tying gear in the truck; I always buy flies from shops that are helpful. Sad to see my friend spend 20+ dollars on 6 flies. Sorry Dillon. This guy soured my experience. Terrible customer service

I've been going back to Frontier Angler for over 10 years. These guys are awesome. I'm from California, but fly the distance to hire the best guides in Montana to show many great fishing and a world of fun. Tim Tollet is a gem. He'll always tell you the best places and the right gear that works. I always hire Cody or Matt (before he got married and moved north) as my guides. You really can't go wrong. I don't rate places often, but Frontier Anglers is really amazing. I'd recommend everyone else doing a float trip vs just wading the Beaverhead or Big Hole rivers. They're big and it's worth the extra to get a guide.
