I love sensory friendly night. I've told a few friends about it, and they are super interested in experiencing it. Good job Safeway! Thank you for making this an option.
The Lady in the Deli was very helpful. Telling Me where the soups were moved to! Oh and I had to share this pic being Ukrainian I loved this!
It's not surprising that this location is on the outs; their meat department isn't very good and all sorts of food throughout the store is discounted from not being fresh. I find that I even have to watch expiries of items, especially in places like produce or the deli, because sometimes their stock is past due. Even though this location is closer to me, I go to Inglewood because it's run better.
Handy Safeway store we stopped in to purchase some milk while we visited St. Albert. Product needed was Stocked, no holes on the shelf noted and staff were friendly. We were thanked for our business. Overall, a good visit.
Morning staff at this store are super friendly and professional. I didn't get her name but the woman at the checkout saw that I had WAY too many items for the basket I was using so she ran out and grabbed a cart for me so I could get to my car easier. Thank you for that.
My husband and I went there to buy flowers for my parents for their anniversary. The floral stand was closed due to Covid so we did as the sign said and took our flowers to the customer service desk. The lady at another till said "Can I help you!?" In a VERY rude tone I said "yes, the floral stand says to come to customer service for assistance" she then shouted from the till to the desk where I was standing.. while she was with a customer "Yeah! I know, and the lady is on break so that's that's why I asked if I could help you!" I told her I needed one of the cards that goes into the flowers and she said "They're over there, go pick one." I told her neither my husband or myself saw them when we were over there. She rolled her eyes at us and went to walk over there. That's when my husband said "you know what, we're not interested in buying these flowers here anymore. We don't have to tolerate this kind of behavior." So we left and bought flowers at Sobey's. Their flowers were nicer looking and they had little balloons for them. I probably won't be returning to this Safeway after being yelled by one of the cahiers.
Nice store, good to get decent prices before going to the N.W.T.
I am disappointed in this location. Every time I come in to the hot food section occasionally there is never any of the items they advertise on sign outside. They are supposed to have the deal where you buy the chicken and you get 2 sides along with the buns...anyway they NEVER EVER have any of the sides! And I don't want 2 pots of macaroni salad, I want hot food! I might get enough potato wedges once a month; they usually they tell me there is none left and it would take 20 minutes to make another batch!! The last time this happened, it was only 5 p.m. supper time during the week on a Thursday! There is never any baked macaroni, onion rings, scallop potatoes, or anything other than chicken wings... I always end up buying my own fries to take home and cook to go with my chicken. In addition, this cost me more because it is not part of the deal! Supper time is the busiest time and the staff should ensure they have enough items when you are in a rush to get home from work and eat! I used to live in Edmonton and use the Terra Losa location. They always had an abundance of sides to choose from as well as extra's like dry boneless ribs, spring rolls. Looks like I will be going to Save on Foods for occasional hot food. Nothing worse than walking in to find only chicken with no sides!!!! Fix this!
I used to always get their made to order sandwiches from the deli, as well as recommend friends to do so. Today was the 1st time in a while and it will be my last! There was so little meat that I had to say something, her response in an unfriendly tone "80 grams, that's our policy!" If this is chain wide I will never go to Safeway again. When going there specifically for a sandwich or deli, I would almost always buy other items. No surprise Sobeys & Safeway are losing money hand over fist nowadays.
They are doing a great job of keeping social distance and cleaning the carts between users. The pharmacy staff provide excellent service.
