Food didn’t arrive until an hour and a half after ordering!! Party of 2. Ordered a sandwich and a grain bowl. I’d expect that wait at a busy 4 star Michelin restaurant in New York. This place is advertised as gastropub food, which is intended and designed to be quick food to make. My inclination is that they wanted us to wait there as long as possible to keep ordering more drinks. It took so long I thought the chef had quit mid shift.nnFood: underwhelming and average. Nothing you couldn’t make at home with minimal effort. Tasted greasy. Even if it was good, I couldn’t have appreciated it because the wait was SO long I was starving and dizzy from low blood sugar by the time it arrived. Unacceptable.nnWill not go back and would not recommend. I’d only recommend in the event you’re practicing intermittent fasting or on an intense diet.

Great food at this bar n grill. Burger was good, appetizers were great, drinks... good! Got a bit busy which slowed down service but people were nice, not too expensive here either. A bit dark inside, good for date night. We were there for lunch. Would return

My nephew and I came in for a quick meal on Friday, January 2, 2026 and everything was excellent. Our meals were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients. The food came out fast and hot, and the portions were very generous for the price. They have some very unique options on the menu, which is great! The bartender lady who served us was extremely personable, friendly, and attentive: she really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and deserves special recognition.nnI can see why so many locals rave about this place. The menu has a great variety with creative gastropub options, and it’s obvious the kitchen takes pride in what they do. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a nice selection of craft beers and drinks to go along with the food. From the service to the quality to the overall vibe, everything exceeded our expectations.nnRyan’s On York is truly a hidden gem in Manitowoc, and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommended!

Excellent choices and unique delicious creations. Katsu sandwich, crab meat Rangoon tacos, and Smokey fries off the monthly special. Nice to have an alternative to burgers, fries and curds that are everywhere.

In Manitowoc for the maritime museum, and this place was close by. The menu looked unique and had good reviews. We got the Caribbean Burger, Katsu Melt and shared the RoY Fries. Everything tasted great and the portions were perfect for the price! I even took half my sandwich home it was great in the air fryer. The only downside was that they got busy towards the end of our meal. It was sometime since they checked in on us, so we decided to go up to the bar to pay/ask for a to-go box. Prior to that they were very attentive bartender and busboy. Can’t help a busy day! I’m happy to see thriving businesses. We absolutely want to come back when we go to the art museum to try some of their bowls San Fran Noodles in particular. Yum!
