I met a girlfriend for Saturday morning breakfast at 9, we sat outside and had the best meal/experience. The restaurant was busy, the farmers market was alive and well just feet away from us. We had amazing service from the entire staff and everyone in the neighborhood was out and about, and in a good mood. Fresh squeezed orange juice, 6 different kinds of coffee cake to choose from as an appetizer, main dishes are all locally sourced and delicious beyond belief. Beautiful views of the water just around the corner, lots of walking and shopping to do after breakfast as well. Chris, our waiter, was outstanding, super informative and engaging. Absolutely loved the ambiance inside and out, and with everything going on, the food was still the star of show
We went at 1pm on a Monday, no wait. I tried the Greek omelette, which was pretty good. Potatoes were ok after pouring some hot sauce. The biscuit was a bit too bread-y to enjoy with butter/jam, but with gravy it was good. The service was quick and kind, and the environment is a step up from your typical breakfast diner vibe. It has an intimate setup and pleasant warm lighting. The reason I rate 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are too expensive for what they offer. The food is good not mind blowing, but the portions can be small depending on what you get. The biscuit and gravy with 2 eggs and fruit pictured was $17, definitely steep for the portions. The omelette plate was bigger portions but $18, still not quite worth it to me. I would go back to try more menu items I haven't given their sweet breakfast items a chance yet. But overall, the prices to portion ratio would make me consider other places first.
There is just something about that local place that makes you think of good home cooking. This is the place! That hometown friendly staff and hearty portions of food. It's always a treat to come here. They offered a meatlovers omelet covered in an incredible gravy on the specials menu today. Oh my, that was sooo good! Have always loved their coffee too, I think the creamer makes it irresistible. Prices are a tad to the higher side, but you'll always have extra food to take home with you. Until next time...
Went on a Sunday. Only had to wait for 15 min for a table for 4. I would've given it more stars except the food was a bit pricey considering it's not in Seattle and it's not like they had views think $13 for coffee with Kahlua and $10 for a side of their special potatoes. Also, our hostess left a bad taste in our mouth when she told us we couldn't be seated unless our whole party was there or we had to order their food for them. Wait what? Our 4th member was only 10 min away due to snow issues in the parking lots. Needless to say, we said sure and were seated. Our friend arrived and sat before our drink order was even taken . I'd understand if we were a larger party with reservations, but again it was 4 of us and 3 were already there. It's not like 3 people being seated meant we were holding up more than 1 table or group.
Food was delicious. Portions were surprisingly huge. The fruit was fresh and sweet. Strawberry, cantaloupe, honeydew, blueberry The mimosas were amazing. Can't wait to come back and try more on the menu
WOW!!!!! This place is incredible! If I could give it 10 stars I would. The biscuits for the biscuits and gravy are PERFECT. The best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot as that’s usually my go to breakfast along with the Benedict which I got as well. Everything was amazing. We got: Hawaiian mimosa a special at the time, crab bene, a side of biscuits and gravy, my boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and said it was the best breading he’d ever had on one and a short stack of lemon curd crepes YUM!!. 10/10 recommend if you’re in Edmonds.
This was my third time visiting this restaurant on my own and the fourth time being with a friend. You have the options of inside or outside dining... On a Saturday or Sunday I would recommend the outside dining as it is less noisy. I have had eggs benedict in one form of the other every time and it is delicious! The service is fabulous! I highly recommend it and I am a fan of breakfast/brunch! Features: It was a mixture of employees wearing masks. Snohomish county does not require checking vaccine cards during the earlier stages of the pandemic so they did not check them then.
Saturday morning next to the Edmonds Farmers Market. The Rusty Pelican is perfect for breakfast. 5-stars for ambiance and service. Menu is filled with treats - something for everyone. We felt so spoiled.
Really was hoping to like this place due to reading the other reviews and looking at pictures. While the wait times are already long due to being super popular, our service wasn't the best. My group didn't get any water nor interaction from anyone for about 15 minutes. I noticed some other tables getting food before us and showed up after us. Food was good just a little over priced and my potatoes were a little cold already makes me wonder if it was just sitting for a few minutes already. Dish needed a little more gravy. Was kinda bothered by the mimosa, MIMOSAS DO NOT HAVE ICE IN THEM. Took another 15 minutes to get our check after we asked for it which was incorrect and friend got charged twice on accident they say.
Great place to go for breakfast but go early it's very popular for good reasons. I had the Mexican scramble with potatoes and pancakes. Very good with huge portions.Food: 5/5
