Rustlers Restaurant & Saloon

The servers are attentive and curtious. They are well trained and know their menu well. The food is the best I have had in Star Valley. The veggie pasta is perfect. Prices are very reasonable and so are the portions served are generous. Their is one server that is older (she wears her hair in a bun) and she seems to like to stay at your table. And looses track of time chatting. Try to avoid her.

First, we were seated at almost the same time with the same waitress because we asked for a specific table after given choices. So there was a slight delay in getting our order taken which was understandable. Then after giving our order, we were asked if we wanted to pay $2 for rolls to go with our dinner. Seriously you pay extra for rolls? Will they also charge for the butter to go with them? Then my dish arrived and the pasta was not even Luke warm. They took the meal back and we waited 10 minutes for a new one to come out while my husband ate his dinner. While the retry was at the right temperature and tasted good, the manager who took my unheated meal, never came over to check on me. Of course the waitress did but he did not. No treat for the screw up also. Then when the waitress gave us our check she stood over us until we paid. Really? What a shame. We won't be back.

We stayed in Afton for the night on our way home, but were told to drive back to Thayne to try this place for dinner. I loved my pork tenderloin dinner! The server was very attentive and helpful with all my questions.

I was blown away by the food. Creative, delicious, and unique. The flatbread appetizer with the feta, onions, and roasted grapes blew my mind it was so flavorful! Recently redone interior with a combination of modern and western. Cute western photo op in the back. The owners and staff were so friendly. They were so sweet to our kids and custom made orders for them. By far my favorite place to eat in the area.

Rustlers is one of my favorite places to eat in the region. The chef's creativity and the staff's friendly and accommodating service make for absolutely delicious meals and a very pleasant experience overall. I highly recommend it!
