My girlfriend has been struggling with depression and anxiety and came here as a recommendation to seek therapy. Unfortunately she got stuck with betty smith a practitioner who already has a complaint on google reviews. During their first meeting my girlfriend informed her of the fact that she was not on any birth control and Betty proceeded to belittle her for her personal choices rather then try to understand them. I am extremely disappointed to have been recommended this facility and its practitioners not because i believe everyone there is bad at their job like Betty but because it is incredibly unprofessional for a mental health care provider with no actual medical training to try and lecture a patient on their own personal choices and beliefs about their body. I would recommend avoiding this place or at least Betty if at all possible.

I would not recommend Betty smith to my worst enemy. I got nothing from my time with her except the feeling of being judged for not wanting to wear a mask and not forcing my grandma to get vaccinated, which she lectured me on. She power tripped dunked on me when I asked about getting an ESA paper for my dog. All around unpleasant experience. I wish i could give zero stars but I’m obligated to give one.

This business requires you to wear a mask in their facility, which I tried to respect because I needed help. It was my third session with a counsellor here. About 35 minutes into the session, she had me talking about my dying grandmother's previous drug abuse when I put my thumb slightly in the bottom of my mask to let air in. She stopped me in my sentence and said I needed to stop playing with my mask because it was a safety concern. I tried to explain that i couldn't breathe and she did not want to hear it. I left the session early and did not schedule another session.

Rural Mental Health has been a blessing in my life. My therapist has been a huge help in my recovery with depression and anxiety. All the staff at RMH are kind and caring individuals. You would be hard pressed to find a counseling agency! Forever grateful for the team at RMH!
