Ruffin's Pet Centre (Brantford)

This is a wonderful pet needs shop! Smaller then the "Walley World" giganto stores but has everything, variety and great selections! I love the intimacy of this shop with the staff friendliness and knowledge. Big shout-out to Savannah who I took way too much of her time but helped out and made great suggestions for our special needs dogs! Prices, good as and better then most of the BIG box stores. Oh BTW Daisy Do & Winnie Poo just LOVE the treats choices !

The best set of staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering at a Ruffins store in all my experiences. All of the staff here are incredibly kind, empathetic and caring towards not only the animals involved but the people they encounter as well. The staff that do the small animal and bird nail trimming handled our newly adopted and finicky Conure parrot so well and did a beautiful job rectifying his curled nails. They have always been super informative and helpful finding all the resources in the area we’ve asked for advice/experience from after recently moving to the area and not knowing about the local groomers and veterinary offices as well as any pet/product advice we’ve asked about. They’ve helped so much and have been so empathetic in our journey of battling with our dogs kidney disease and even put some items on the house when I went in noticeably distressed to get some of her favourite foods and treats as she’s on her last legs and very unwell. Very thankful to have this store and it’s staff and will always recommend this specific Ruffins if you need a new pet store to go to or for many small animal nail trimming needs!

Trinity,Violet ,Sierra were all exceptional workers and just awesome people , very knowledgeable about the products in the store hands down the best store I've bin to and the manager Melinda was absolutely a treat to talk to very helpful knows her store inside and out excellent management they are Cleary a 10 star store but I could only give 5.

Very clean and friendly. Fish looked healthy and betta cups looked clean. Pet friendly took my dog there and staff was helpful and nice, pretty good selection of stuff aswell.

We don’t know where to begin, but we have to say that all the beautiful people of Ruffin’s hold a very special place in our heart. The store owner Mark, manager Melinda, and Nicole, Violet & the rest of the amazing team there truly show their love, dedication, knowledge & care for animals. We have the outmost admiration for a business that cares about their customers and pets and is there for us even past store hours. Thank you for always helping us, being there for us especially this summer when we lost our 14.5 year old lab. This is the store where you know you will get all you need and more for your fur babies. We would love to see the counter moved back to the original place as we worry about your safety and cars that tend to be unsafe near store entrances in that area.

i used to have a great relationship with ruffins pet stores until i moved and got banned from all stores for my friend buying a bearded dragon, he’s 19 and showed proof that he was 19, for the past year of living here i’ve gotten 4 animals only one has passed away, they have no proof they’re not well taken care of which they all are, many of the employees were all up in my business about everything because i’m 17 but i never bought an animal without parental consent after one day of buying worms for my friends bearded dragon my dad gets a call saying i am banned from the store and not to enter the premises, nor is my friend allowed to enter the premises either, from what i was told they got very mad at my father for no reason and he wasn’t very happy of how they spoke to him i have moved on from this and now buy my animals food from a different store but thought i would share my experience and think just because i am 17 does not mean i should be treated differently. yes i do understand their policy of needed parent consent but there is no need to act rudely towards me and ban me from all stores just because they think the bearded dragon is under my care. for anyone that is younger i believe you should speak up to them if they’re treating you differently as i didn’t and i put up with it, bring your parents with you.

Friendly staff don't mind to help I've been there around 4 times and I know alot of staff very clean fish tanks and betta setup but a few over priced animals but besides that everything else is 5/5

Staff is so friendly! They remember me or my dog lol even when I brought my dog in only once or twice. I love supporting small business and they are so close to me! They are much more convenient than the other pet stores :

The employees at this store are so amazing and knowledgeable on all pet nutrition, thanks to them my Rottweiler puppy is doing excellent on the raw food diet . If you are at a loss with your pets nutrition then I would definitely recommend this place .
