Roundabout Canada

About

Do you have what it takes? Time is ticking...

Story

In this game, you are trapped in one of five themed rooms as a result of a predetermined single or series of unfortunate events. With only 45 minutes on the clock, you must work with your friends, teammates, or colleagues, applying creative thinking, communication techniques, and other skillsets to try and escape. Players can also rely on gadgets and any useful clues on site for assistance. BUT be careful, some clues and aids may be disguised as distractors and your 45 minutes can quickly become 15.

Sounds exciting, right? What makes Roundabout so unique and phenomenal however is the detail-oriented realism design that keeps each room entertaining. As players, you can choose from five themed game rooms. The diversity will have you wanting to be trapped over and over again, testing your skills from room to room.

"You are locked in a themed room and need to find your way out, but hurry time is ticking! By using your physical abilities, logical sense and teamwork, you find clues and solve puzzles that will lead to your big escape! Whether you are escaping a prison, ancient pyramid or even a serial killer’s basement, you are sure to have a good time!"

This was my first ever escape room experience and it was just exhilarating. The hosts were really nice and kind and they even showed us around all other rooms they had at the end. We did the Butchers Basement and it was just as thrilling and exciting as it sounds. The props, the clues and the entire puzzle was so well thought. We took a little over an hour a couple minutes but it was not a busy day so they let us complete it. Also, they said they would help regardless so that we aren’t left in suspense. Overall, the experience was just amazing. Can’t wait to go here for the ninja room and the airplane room! Cheers.
My team of 3 completed the Final Destination room. For 2 of us, we are beginners to escape rooms and for the other, it was his first time! So a room like Final Destination was perfect for us as we did take up 50 minutes to complete it. I probably would not recommend it for experienced players as it seems $33 is not worth it according to other reviews. But I think for beginners and a small group, its a good place to start! My team actually really enjoyed this room one of us is an aviation enthusiast. The props for the room was quite fun! We all had a great time, some clues were easy and some were well thought out! Looking forward to coming back and trying the other rooms - I read that Ninja had gotten a lot of great reviews.
We came and did the ninja themed escape room and passed fairly quickly. It was a chill room with background music and good effects when a puzzle was solved. We booked for a specific time but was running very late due to shuttle bus issues and we called the workers and they were kind enough to let us go in later since no one else was booked for that slot and so we wouldn’t end up wasting our money. Overall had a great time, great room and great staff!
We did the Butchers Basement room, and it was definitely not worth the price they charge. There was little to no interactiveness, i have done other escape rooms and this one was mediocre at best, the room was super tiny, no real immersive experience sounds, smoke, lights, lasers , the puzzles were decent. The props were good I guess. They could have done so much with this theme and made it so much more creepier and added some interactive elements , but it was not what we were expecting at all. I would not be going again to this one.
Such a wonderful experience. Butcher was so much fun. The staff was helpful and friendly. The staff was wonderful, gave us extra time to play, gave us loads of helpful hints, and were rooting for us the entire time. Best escape room in Canada. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun 60 minutes.
I played the prisoner room with my friends tonight and i had a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. The escape room was full of locks so it was kinda overwhelming at the start but we made it out okay I would definitely recommend the prisoner room if you’re a bigger group.
Recently did the Butcher's Basement escape room here. The staff were very friendly and helpful; but the room was quite a disappointment. The narrative of the room did not tie very well together and the tightest way, but most disappointing was the puzzles. Of the 7 or so puzzles in the room, the vast majority just resulted in a combination to a padlock and our entire group had sort of wished that they were a bit more creative in some of the puzzles. When we did finally finish the room the ending also felt fairly unceremonious, we pretty much just walked out the door and the staff at the desk asked if we were done and offered a sort of half-hearted congratulations and from there we just left. Certainly the weakest escape room I have done so far.
Decent escape rooms for beginners. Re-review: Came a second time with my partner to try the prison room! Busier this time around on a weekend with only two employees; again, very kind. Accommodated us 2players in a 4+ player room that we found challenging and fun! We got stuck on a couple parts so had to wait for clues. Some areas can be improved; the metal cabin we were given to “secure” our belongings was falling apart and barely locked. — Staff is friendly and kind. Have lockers for you to keep your belongings, hand sanitizer also available, have washrooms. The hallway entrance is very narrow and has steps, and rooms are fairly small so not handicap friendly. Did the Butcher room with 4 players and solved in 45minutes with no hints. Decorations in the room were great, not overly scary but there are blood and graphic body parts. Room was pretty straightforward and fun to play, would say that for a 4/5 difficulty room, it’s still fairly “easy” compared to other places. However, wouldn’t recommend it for advanced players who escape easily. Price per person is $33 + tax for an hour, which I think is pretty expensive only because of the size and difficulty of the room compared to those of other escape places. Overall, still a great fun room. Would recommend for friends taking a trip downtown and looking for things to do.
For the price of $33 it's not worth it at all. We did the Prisoner and the room is pretty small, not many puzzles, and they're not very well integrated I think. Basically everyone is doing their own puzzle and doesn't really involve everyone together. Really simple and straightforward puzzles that didn't really require a lot of thinking
10/10 this is the most convenient and fun escape room in Downtown Toronto. The scary game reactions caught on video are hilarious. The owner and their staff are very helpful and welcoming, especially to people new to escape rooms. You won't regret it!
