Rouge River Restaurant

My wife and I just enjoyed the Beef Wellington for Valentine's dinner. Delectable! The pastry was so crisp the meat so tender and the melange of flavors was exquisite! We so love this restaurant.

We always celebrate our anniversary at The French. They cook the best steak in the city and the beet salad is one of my favourites. Total bonus that the cocktails are amazing but we really go here for the service. It is very consistent and every server/bartender we have had is so friendly and makes the dining experience so enjoyable.

The food was very seasonally appropriate and definitely flavour packed! Service was quick and the staff was friendly. Drinks were okay. We enjoyed our time and felt safe with their Covid-19 precautions. I would recommend trying them out!

Wow. Made the celebration in our bubble the very best. Can’t say enough about the food. It was simply perfect. From start to finish was fabulous! Devin our server was attentive and polite. This restaurant is doubtless one of the most attractive place in the area. Always when I come there I am awfully happy. They always keep their very high standard service and the topmost level of food they provide. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

A great French restaurant. Beautifully decorated, and staffed with friendly and efficient servers. Fun environment, good food, and a great wine list. Must visit. The steak tartar was to die for. Must try with a dry amarone.

Absolutely stunning, the food is a real surprise, every bites you take is flavorful, nicely presented on the plate. bravo to the chef and the team who keep the restaurant "alive" during covid. Thank you again for the birthday gift with a free appetizer.

The moment you arrive at The French you get the experience of a small restaurant in France. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Duck Confit Salad, French Onion Burger, Fish and Chips and  Crème Brule for desert. We had a good time, the food was great and the atmosphere was very authentic.
