Rosie's smash burger comes automatically with American cheese, tomato, pickles, and secret sauce. It doesn't say this anywhere I could see. You can add bacon or change your sauce to ranch, but again, this is not detailed. The burger was good. Oddly, both the top bun and tomato were cold; this made the grip and first bite a little less appealing. The poutine is made with a different gravy. I prefer a beef dark gravy. The gravy didn't have much flavor or depth. Do not recommend it. The fries were soft and got soggy quickly under the cheese. You do get a lot of cheese, but not a lot of gravy. If you want more, they were quite generous and helpful. The place is tiny. If you're planning to eat in, get there early as there is minimal seating, and it gets busy around meal times. Staff was really friendly and sweet. It's a good place for takeaway or a quick bite if you're in the area.
Rosie's burger is on Queen street, and can be accessed by TTC very easily. Location: The inside of the restaurant is sort of retro, there are 6-8 stools to sit on and a bench in front of the store for seating as well. Ordering: Ordering was easy, the cashier was great at his job and very friendly. Wait Time: I waited about 10 minutes for my food to be prepared. My friends and I were the only people in the restaurant so the wait time wasn't bad at all. Food: I ordered a double cheese burger with a chocolate shake. The double cheese burger was very tasty, definitely a top 5 smash burger in Toronto! The house sauce on the burger was great and reminiscent of a thousand islands sauce. The burger had standard toppings of lettuce and tomato, both of which paired well with the smash burger patties. The chocolate shake was good as well, didn't taste outstanding but also did not leave a ice ball like when you drink an ice capp and the liquids gone and just the ice is left when drinking it, which is a plus! Price: Around $13 for the double cheese burger and $8 for the shake. So over $20 for the two combined. Overall: Great burger, good shake, friendly staff. Rosie's is the way!
The burger is good but smaller than I thought it would be and the sauce and condiments are great. The service was friendly but I dinged them for lack of accepting cards as they had a sign that said cash only. Onion rings were hot and crispy. The atmosphere … I dinged them hard for not have a customer washroom. Asking me to go to Loblaws across the street is not the answer I was looking for. So then I have to question the hygiene of the whole place. …
This was THE BEST smash burger I have ever had. Comes dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and their signature sauce unless you specify otherwise. Burger Patty to bun ratio was impeccable! Had the double, and the Beyond Meat burger, fries and a Strawberry Milkshake. The burgers were seasoned to perfection, fries were fresh and just the right amount of salt added. The milkshake was a knockout. 12/10 highly recommended.
Great burger, I would say one of if not the top smash burger in town. Good quality ingredients with thick crispy bacon, good cheese and nice thick cut of tomato and pickle. Patty was nicely seasoned and had a great carmalisation on it. Great proportioned burger, definitely recommend it! Very nicely done burger! I will absolutely be back
We had such amazing burgers at Rosie's. The patty was super fresh and flavourful and the regular toppings and sauces tasted really great! We also had the poutine, which was delicious . Fantastic cheese curds and flavourful gravy. The only downside is that the place is kind of pricey. I spent over $50 for two burgers and a poutine + a water and root beer. Definitely a great burger joint if you're looking for some great flavour.
Amazing smash burgers. They say this is one of the best spots in toronto, and i couldnt agree more. Rosies and Burger drops gotta duke it out for the #1 burger spot now. I honestly couldnt tell you which one is better, but i do know rosies is absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back. Patties are smashed to perfection and the texture and taste are spectacular. Banana pudding is delicious too
First time I had the burger, it was amazing! Fresh veggies and the house sauce and brioche bun were perfect. But when I brought my partner there, the patty was too well-done. It was burnt on the sides and very dry See the pictures. The rest was good sauce and bun but that patty soured our experience. It was probably one-off, but just wanted to give feedback to the management and kitchen: please don’t over fry patties and make them juicy or ask people how they want it. Thank you!
Fantastic experience going for the first time. Ordered a double with bacon and it was a perfect portion and filling through the afternoon. Burger was well seasoned and sauced without needing to specify and beautifully done. Will go again next week!Food: 5/5
I went once and then shortly after returned again with my sister to have a burger and fries at Rosie's Burgers on Queen St. I find this to be the best burger in Toronto. The smash-burger" style patty is crispy and juicy with the perfect textured bun and toppings. The poutine was also worth mentioning with a well-seasoned and not to overpowering gravy. There is limited seating indoors for less than 10 people. The food is prepared fresh and quickly, the branding is super cute and unique. I look forward to continuing to recommend this awesome burger spot. Go to Rosie's!
