Horrible experience at this store. I went into the store looking for a specific pair of sweats as a gift. I asked 1 staff member who directed me to another, the next staff member directed me to another, the 3rd staff member directed me to the first person I spoke to. I never even got to ask them what I was looking for - each one of them quite simply didn’t want to do their job and help me. So I left and ordered online where I can easily find what I’m looking for. Then they cancelled my online order - and when I reached out to customer service they closed the chat on me instead of helping me. This store itself was a horrible experience, and the online store quite honestly also a bad experience. I will no longer be shopping at roots. Horrible customer experience and I will never be back.
Hands down the best roots location. I am constantly being assisted upon arrival and my questions are always answered.Despite the discriminatory and xenophobic reviews, there is a great deal of diversity within the store. I have always been kindly greeted with a smile. Thank you for helping me with my online order.
The team at this location is very dishonest, they will not hesitate to turn customers away for a return when they are well within their rights to get a refund for their item in order to place themselves at an advantage over other locations. I've been a loyal customer for a long time and shopped at various locations, l've witnessed a very toxic environment among staff at this specific eglinton location. Place is dirty, merchandise has an unnecessary high price point, and this location usually has very low stock or none at all. I would refrain from shopping at this location and instead suggest to anybody interested in visiting this location to visit a different one.
I went to this location for a return. I was returning 3 leather handbags with a receipt. They told me their system was down for in store purchase returns. They told me to go to another location. Called another location and asked if their system was up and running and it was. So when I got to the other roots store they told me that warden and eglinton is always doing this bc they don't want to process big ticket item returns bc it affects their store. I called that store back and spoke to the manager. She lied and told me it was miscommunication. Yah, right. I will make every effort to shop at other Roots stores and do all my returns there. I was a loyal customern of that store. Stay away from that store for purchases.
I can't believe the person who complained about the lack of "diversity" at this store. Obviously, you do not shop here very much. It is too bad you did not enjoy your experience on that particular day but let me assure you that the individuals who work here are super helpful I've been going here for years and, if it matters so much to you -- yes there are people of other ethnicities and "colour" there. You sound like you are prejudice yourself? I am surprised that this comment was allowed to be posted.
No washrooms for customers. Had to leave with my toddler and they lost my business that day.
Love roots and this store never overcrowded and awesome customer service. Would definitely recommend
I had to do some returns from items purchased before the holidays and was very impressed with the high level of customer-service from Osmar. I had all the receipts, except one was missing. Osmar was so patient and took time to try and locate the purchase on the system. I ended up calling my sister who was able to provide the receipt information over the phone, which helped to process the refund. What I appreciated most was Osmar's genuine approach to try and resolve this. Especially during a pandemic, I wouldn't want to make another trip again to the store. Truly happy with the customer-service today from Osmar!! He is a superstar!

I popped into this huge Roots no longer an Outlet store as well as mall locations and Roots Outlet looking for a specific jacket. Roots products are high quality and command brand recognition throughout the world. I found this out when I was recently in Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong. When selecting clothing I want to buy, I don't buy Made in China items but heavily favour India, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia. The cotton used feels and wear so much more comfortable. Anyhow, customer inquiry/service is great. I just haven't found the desired zipper in a liner jacket yet but I'll keep looking as the spring collection should be coming out soon!
