I liked it here, nice place with lots of stuff to do. Long hiking trails and beautiful scenery. The camp grounds aren't as private as a lot of other parks but still decent. Bathrooms were always close by and so were showers. The lake water though was ice ! I don't normally care about cold water but this was just freezing and I came here on a warm July weekend so I doubt it gets much warmer. Ice cream was good and huge!!! And very inexpensive for the amount you get.

My family and I have been coming here for 40+ years and my parents/families even longer. Its a wonderful place to visit. Even if just for a day, weekend or camp for week or longer. Lots of activities to do. You have lake erie on one side of the peninsula and the bay on the other. The bathrooms throughout the park are always clean. The bathrooms in the campground area are nice as well, always clean, with showers available. They tend to shun on loud noise and partying but are fairly reasonable, as long as your not getting to out of hand. We camp with large group's of 20+ on multiple site together and with that many people we tend to be on the loud side. They are usually pretty tolerant to our noise. Amazing hiking trails, museum, bay store with food, and ice cream. Dog beach area, Pavilion areas, boat launch on the bay side, children's park, group camp sites available, of course swimming, and much much more. Just an amazing place that my family and I cherish and look forward to visiting each summer. We absolutely love Rondeau

We went there for camping. It was really nice and, we really enjoyed our time. We visited the pet beach, which was sandy and beautiful. The walking trails were good too.

Nice long trails for bike riding or walking. Well maintained with lots of wildlife. The windsurfers were awesome to watch. Endless amounts of beach. Purple sand at some of the beach spots was so cool. Beautiful place we will be back again soon.

Edited, found camp store was closed. Not that we rely on it but if your park is open everything should be open. Felt they should just close for the season if they only wanted to halfass it. If you go maybe during the peak summers months would be better. Very low privacy between sites, sites are very close together. Facilities are older and need updating like other PP's been here two days and comfort station have not been serviced yet. Park staff at gate was friendly but more staff needed. There was a line up and it was not even busy. Most parks will draw you the direction to your site. This park just handed me the guide and we had to open it up and figure it out while people were behind us on the single lane park area to get out and register. Found most sites had previous tickets in posts like staff doesn't even care to collectors them after site maintenance. Our site still had previous permit from a month and a half ago in it. This could be a nice park if a bit more pride and effort was involved from staff. We pay good money for electrical sites and it just doesn't leave us with the wanting to come back. Highly recommend Portland Burwell over Rondeau. Many US plated, they don't seem to care how they act, and found leash laws were not enforced. Had two incidents where other off leash dog's ran over to ours and had problems. Talked to ranger. Was told they would keep an eye on them, more discipline required. Will never go back to Rondeau Park. Really disappointed, been to 5 PP's this year all have been a good experience, not this one.
