Our fridge broke down on a Friday, we bought the new unit but no delivery was available till the following Tuesday. Laura the sales associate made a special request for a same day delivery and we had our fridge arrive same day! Delivery guys were friendly and more than efficient for taking out the old unit and placing the new. Great customer service.

Wow. Finally a store that uses common sense to make executive decisions to provide excellent customer service. Charles and Laura really went above and beyond to help me with something I urgently needed - --instead of being rigid. I had been trying to resolve a gift card issue with head office and it had been months of back and forth. The head office of Rona was brutally terrible. However, Charles at the Sechelt Rona, came in and solved something the online head office had been really limping around incompetently for a frustrating period of time. Thank you Charles!! Laura made the purchase easy and seemless and arranged delivery the next day.nnThen the delivery guys - William and Daniel were soooo helpful and moved something over for me to help me maneuver the small space I'm working with and they really didn't have to do that. All around great experience and all 4 of these employees really didn't need to go as far as they did to provide the help they did. So the least I can do is provide a review. I wanted to give them a cash tip but just moved and didn't have the cash on hand I wanted to give them so hopefully the boss gives them a raise or buys them lunch!

Ordered gate hardware online and tried to return to store. Waited for Manager for 30 minutes because he was in a big meeting to get a signature to credit my credit card back.nTheir attitude was because they are not a big box store they don’t have to take a refund item back and the assistant manager without signing authorization could’ve sent me home and waited another day, if I didn’t like waiting.nnOff to North Vancouver.nnWell, I guess it’s Home Depot for everything.

Since moving to the coast last November I go to Rona from time to time, honestly mostly when I cannot find the items I need anywhere else, it’s the last resort stop in my list. There is some truly incredible employees there but they are very few and far between.Most aren’t familiar with the products, often can’t answer questions, locate products on their system and figure out if they have what their website list in stock. It never made sense to me that a 18 years old young girl with broken english can qualify for a job there, looking like a dear in headlights if you require more than a check-out. The real problem is the lumber yard. Nobody is there to help you and the few that are will actively avoid volunteering to help you and turn a blind eye watching you struggle to load your material. Couple of Fridays ago now, while loading some concrete paving blocks and attempting to lock eye with a leisurely chatting peanut gallery of male employees, busy with each others company at the back of the garden section, a concrete block that was unevenly placed onto the corner of the pallet fell on my foot from about a meter high. I immediately went into shock from the sharp pain and started feeling dizzy. My friend grabbed the first employee she saw, a rather slow motion older gentlemen’s that seems completely unbothered and offered no help. As a few minute went by and I realized I was in trouble I rang my partner that literally had to run on foot down all the way up from reef road. Unable to wait any longer for him, I sent out my friend inside the store to cherry pick my best and only man, a true gem as I knew he would be the only one in the store I can rely on for help. He quickly got me to the hospital as my feet was turning blue. Needless to say that I feel Russ owe me a chat and would love to come down to the store. I have yet to be contacted and would love the opportunity to express in person how grateful I am to the worker that landed me hand and how disappointed I am with the poor assortment of lousy slipshods that make up the remaining of his clown alley.

Have been dealing with them for about 5 years since I started spending more time up on the coast. From contractor sales, the inside staff, the yard guys and the delivery drivers they are all great. The guys in yard are super, always ready to lend a hand and load you up. Recently has a small mix up on an order and it was resolved immediately with new stock delivered about an hour later. You can't ask for better service. My go to yard on the Coast!
