Rocky's Filipino BBQ

My friend said there was a Filipino night BBQ in downtown. The Filipino skewers and Hot Dog were perfect! And Rocky has been there for like 30 years! Great taste and reminder of home!

I’m glad to know that there’s a Filipino food around downtown Halifax. I came here around noon and they served buffet for $12 which is cheap and I kinda feel bad so I didn’t eat a lot and they even gave me discount for it. The owner which I called nanay is very kind and welcoming. It’s worth to try especially when you love Filipino food and visiting Halifax!

I've had their BBQ pork skewers or Pinoy BBQ many times. Great taste and price for a quick bite downtown. Usually open Thursdays-Saturdays weather depending Ask for the skewers at the bottom if you want the juicier ones! The ones on top can be a little dry.

A tiny hole-in-the-wall comfortable Filipino restaurant that serves a stellar all-you-can-eat buffet only during lunch hours. Eating here feels like home away from home... the staff is super inviting and kind, and the food has an irresistible home cooking quality to it. Honestly I went here twice a week for the majority of my time in Halifax and it made my whole experience. A serious treasure!!! Bring your friends or your family! And complementary mango ice cream or rice pudding too!

Literally the best little gem of an eatery! The food is amazing, so much flavour, and the lady who cooks it is so proud in it. She is adorable and friendly, as is the waitstaff. And the price can't be beat! We went yesterday, and some of the high lights of our feast was the chicken curry, moist little dumplings, sweet potato type fritters/patties, and oh my gosh! the house made coconut ice cream and rice pudding. heaven!

$13 for buffet is an excellent price. ASAP Mabuhay Bar and Grill offers only a handful of food during its buffet hours and it changes each day. Visit it and support the hardworking and passionate old woman. This was once a couple owned restaurant .

Rocky's Shish-ka-bobs are the perfect street meat for your late night fuel. Located outside of his family's daytime restaurant, Mabuhay, you have get marinated meat kabobs, hotdogs and sausages until the wee hours.

They sell fresh sish kebabs on Pizza Corner as you wait in line for poutine at Willy's. Dreamy and delicious.

We're here for an open buffet. Every item served was cold and stale. Nice cosey setting but not sure how a place serving this quality of food is able to afford rent in dt halifax
