Great staff. Very friendly. They have delicious cocktails made with alcohol from the local distillery. Wide menu selection. Gluten free options available. Lounge and restaurant. Their burgers are juicy and delicious. Ribs fall off the bone.
Such good food with amazing service. This place was so busy we thought we'd have to eat at the bar. But the waitresses nailed it with their good and prompt service. Best part is, it's the same great food it was 6 years ago.
Super disappointed! I have a couple of food allergies so I called last year to see if they could accommodate me. I was told that there were many items that could be made for me including chicken wings, which are one of my favourite foods! This past summer, we went for supper after a day at the beach. On arrival, we ordered a drink and I explained my food allergies to the waitress. After multiple trips to the kitchen, I was told the only thing that I could eat was a salad - without any dressing. The chicken wings were no longer an option, nor was anything else on the menu. I ordered the spinach salad, I was charged $20 instead of the $19 as shown on the menu. I was also charged $2 for g/f bread which I neither ordered nor received. The waitress amended my bill after she double checked the menu to make sure that I was correct. On the table was contact information to send a message to the manager regarding any questions/concerns/comments on your experience. I texted the manager on Aug 2/22 and received notification that my message was sent to the managers at the Rocky River Grill. To date, I have not had a response. As my food issues are challenging, I have NEVER just shown up at a restaurant and demanded that they accommodate me, I always call ahead. To be offered a dry salad that I was overcharged for and then get no response from management shows me that my business is not worth their time. As a local to this area, I will be taking my business to the other restaurants in town that are willing to work with me and offer me more than a salad.
WORST Waitress ever Stayed in the hotel that's attached to the restaurant and I have never been treated more like an outsider, then I did at this location. We visited the restaurant, after being on the road for about 7hrs and needless to say that we were "Hangry". Our waitress came by the table and said that she would be looking after us, with no mention of what her name was. She took my spouses request of a coke, and then took my order for a Corona. My spouse barely had time to say can I add, and the waitress was off, behind the bar. The request was to ask that Spiced Rum be added to the coke. A VERY young looking girl brought the coke and we explained that we wanted to change the order to a Rum & Coke, but our server walked off before anything could be said. Our food arrived with no utensils, and the very young lady, looked so confused as why we didn't have any. At this point, our waitress was literally running back and forth between customers outside on the patio and 2 or 3 tables inside. Not once had our waitress said anything to us, after the food order was taken. By the end of our stay, our waitress had checked on us, only once or twice. We were never asked if we wanted more to drink, after our first drinks, nor how the food was, but she did manage to find time talking to some regulars to the restaurant as they talked about her family and her sister. I have never been treated such as an outsider, as I did that night. I did manage to get a text out to the manager, on an app that is clearly marked on the tables. The complaint was never resolved and the reply we were given was - "I'll take care of it". The food was fantastic, and restaurant itself was great - its too bad that our waitress delivered sub-par service, expected to travelers.
We enjoyed our dinner last night, I miss these huge serving of food! Staff are good, food is great!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. We sat on the patio and even though you can see the highway, the mountain view over top is exceptional. I really love Yam fries and the cooks here did not disappoint. Everything was cooked perfect. I was sad though, there was no calamari that night!
We had the full rack ribs entree and a bowl of mushroom soup shared between 2 people -- both tasted good and were just the right amount. Our server was exceptional -- hospitable, prompt, anticipated our needs, unobtrusive yet available -- it's been a while since we have experienced such a high level of service and it really made our meal so much more enjoyable.
Terrible service ended up leaving 1.5 hours after being sat with our food to go. Didn't get menus for 25 minutes and when they came to take out order be said we didn't have menus finally then again 20 minutes they took our order. I haven't gotten the food yet as I'm still waiting so I cant even put if it tastes good . The server seemed like she hates her job and we got a good eye roll upon asking for our food to go . This is a horrible place
Food was all right. We ordered the breakfast scramble and had them change out the tater tots for hash browns. I got mine right however my wife’s was wrong. Not that big of a deal but the tater tots are deep fried and have a nasty oil taste. Overall an ok place to eat as the Kanata doesn’t have a hot breakfast.
Excellent service. Food came out quick and hot and my coffee cup was never empty. Large portions. Tasty food. Located right off the highway huge parking lot if you are towing a trailer. the breakfast poutine was amazing
