We arrived at 3:40pm and the waitress was so kind to take our order as they closes at 4pm on Wednesday. We ordered burgers with sweet potato fries and chicken sandwich with garden salad, and milkshakes for drinks. Everything was amazing and delicious. The waitress Jessica was so nice and helped us with the menu. The menu has lots of choices, I found it a bit confusing but thanks again to Jessica who helped us narrowing down our choices. Thanks to the cook too! Definitely will come back again.
Very decent local diner with all-day breakfast. We went there on a Saturday morning, around 9am, and it was packed which is always a good sign. They have all the standard breakfast items on the menu, and the food was very good. I found their coffee just okay too weak to my taste, but everything else was great. Great service, too. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I’d love to give this restaurant more stars but I was disappointed with my experience. we were seated quickly, the restaurant seemed busy for a Saturday morning. This was my first time trying it out, I wasn’t feeling the bests energy for the server which killed the mood a bit. Once we ordered, the food came rarely quickly. I have to say for the amount paid on food I was expecting better quality. I ordered a breakfast poutine and it felt like just a bowl of potatoes, I feel like it could have at least had some green for garnish or spices to elevate the dish. i don’t think I’ll be trying this spot again unfortunately, maybe it was an off day
We went to try this great place on Saturday for the first time! The breakfast was so delicious. We tried Western omelette and Big Bubba breakfast. Both plates were tasty. Definitely, we will visit again!Food: 5/5
Very good food. The waffle are pretty good and fluffy. Chocolate milkshake is fantastic. Egg Benedict is soo yummy.
We stopped for lunch yesterday Saturday, November 12, 2022. My husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap w/fries and I ordered a traditional clubhouse w/fries. A little disappointed with serving portions. Meal was average. The actual reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of what happened after our bill was settled. The waitress I didn't gey her name was finishing our bill when an elderly gentleman came through the door. He had some mobility issues. He must have been in the restaurant earlier because the waitress helped him in the door and offered him a chair & then she asked if he missed his taxi. The gentleman said he thought he saw it but it drove away. She looked out the window and noticed a taxi at the gas station across from the restaurant. She said it must be his. She asked if he was able to walk to the taxi but the man admitted it was quite far for him to walk. As she finished our transaction, she offered to go and get the taxi to come closer to the door. She went out the door, across the parking lot, chatted to the taxi driver and then came back. She explained to the man that the taxi was just turning around to come pick him up. She said that it wasn't the taxi he called, but the driver was happy to take the fare. Then she helped the man into the taxi. I can't believe how helpful, polite and concerned the waitress was for the gentleman. It was such a random act of kindness and it was so nice to see people helping each other. I will be back for another visit because this level of caring should be supported and celebrated! Here's a pic of my clubhouse, which upon reflection was pretty good!
Poor quality food. Ordered a fruit cup for my kid and the fruits looked terribly stale! My eggs Benedict arrived cold and was lacking flavor. Husband's basic breakfast was poor quality. Nothing felt fresh and everything just looked sad on our plates. Will not come back again!
Whenever I’m in Kanata, I always try to stop here for their bacon and sausage poutine! Gravy is nice and creamy and the sausage and bacon enhance the classic poutine. I also love how they use their breakfast home fries. Perfect hangover breakfast/brunch too. Wish we still had a RJD in the east end :
Worst breakfast I’ve had. Ordered combo 1, 2 eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage. Everything tasted frozen and my eggs were cold. Pancakes were so dry I couldn’t finish them and needed to wash it down with coffee every bite. Eggs Benedict also tasted frozen. There was only one waitress so we were pretty much ignored the entire time we were there; that’s not fair to her well being as an employee or us as customers.
It's a very cute, retro themed diner. Our first time going there, we were seated very quickly by an extraordinarily kind waitress. We ordered and the food came incredibly quick. That's where all the greatness ended. My husband and I had your very basic Canadian breakfast; eggs, meat, toast, and I got an order of pancakes. The eggs seemed almost rubber? I have a slight suspicion the pancakes were frozen before, and the meat was cooked to the bare minimum. We ended up paying over $50 for a breakfast we maybe took 3 bites of.
