Went here for New Years!!! Had a great time with family. They had a dance floor, the atmosphere was a ton of fun. The food was delicious. The wine selection was good exspecially for Prince Albert. Live band played all the good bar tunes. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food and lively entertainment. Cheers!
Fantastic atmosphere, great to see local artists celebrated. Serving local tap beer selections. The food is tasty and fresh. Staff and owner aimed to please. Definitely worth checking out.
Rock Trout is one of the newest restaurants in Prince Albert. The menu includes local foods, vegetarian and gluten free options. Overall our experience was a welcome change from that of the usual dining experience in Prince Albert, there are a few details that would have made our good experience GREAT. Full review below. We ate here Saturday evening and the restaurant was only moderately busy, we got a table soon after arriving. We were not told who our server was going to be or that live music was starting in an hour and we would be charged $20 ticket price if we stayed. However, this wasn't an issue because we ordered our food and it arrived quickly. We were given fresh bread and with balsamic/oil after we ordered and it was delicious. We finished that quickly and our server brought us more. I ordered the special which was fresh tomato soup to start, pork ribs and veggies, my wife ordered the carbonara. My starter soup was incredible good, arrived piping hot and was well balanced. It offered full body of flavor, a gentle heat and many notes to entertain my palate. My entree arrived only warm, nothing on the plate was hot. The ribs were done near perfectly and easily came off the bone. The veggies had great texture, however the potatoes were slightly over mashed and served with a gravy which had a packaged taste. The lemon wedge was a welcome addition to cut the overall heaviness of the dish. The carbonara was a fresh pasta house made with butchers bacon. The pasta was well cooked, bacon was under rendered and the sauce was split, however it still had good flavor. It was served with grilled bread. All our dishes were generous portions which gives you good value for your money. This is a good restaurant with great potential and thoughtful food, however, attention needs to be paid to the details in their food and serving to truly make this a great and competitive restaurant. I am looking forward to these details being sorted out as they continue to make a name for themselves in downtown Prince Albert.
Understaffed, reserved a table for 14, served cold food spaced over 1.5 hours between our table. Waitress was Nice, but clearly couldn't keep up. Very disappointed.
This is a sprawling café complete with a small stage for live shows, bar area for watching sporting events on disproportionately small screens relative to the size of the room, and conscientious staff ready to serve. The place has an eclectic array of paintings and stuffed animals and fish on the walls; price tags were found on the art for sale, but not on the taxidermy displays. A Toronto Maple Leafs' #3 Dave Manson jersey is proudly displayed in a box frame, unapologetically next to an antlered deer. If you can't tell already, I like the place the place so far, but I haven't eaten yet. I am here for lunch on a Thursday, and my server was quick to identify a few really good items to try. Went for the sushi appetizer and the Rock Salad. 35 minutes in, and no appetizer yet. I ask the server about my food, and within a minute, my salad appears. The owner scuttles to the back, interrupting his lunch to check on my order. The appetizer appears pictured here too The sushi is tasty, warm, on a bed of rice, but the rice doesn't quite stick together, so not really made for chopsticks. Flavour makes up for it. Really good! Salad is a beet salad with feta that is cripsy and satisfying. A full meal for sure if you add chicken. Well done Rock Trout! The order took too long for a restaurant 1/4 full, but the result was worth the wait.
Great new Chef Owner Krishna offering Great food and atmosphere!
The food is so delicious!! A great venue for any occasion, special or casual. It is also great to be able to have a good live music venue in PA.
Great food. Cool artistic atmosphere and wonderful staff. I will be back soon
Over 1h40mins to get our food. Food came mildly warm.... BUT it tasted pretty good. Although I just may have been overly hungry.
It is a nice looking building. They didn't have a few items on the menu but other than that the food was good
