After 9 years of business, Jessalynn has decided to take Rock Paper Shears into a smaller, more intimate setting in a home based studio. First time at this studio with Layne. She did an amazing job in achieving my hair color! I was very happy, from the wonderful massage during hair wash to the moment I left salon. She is very professional with great knowledge of products. Even the salon has great ambiance. Would highly recommend her if you are looking for a hair stylist!
I followed my wonderful hairstylist, Rachel here. I have been with her for just over three years and sad that it hasn’t been longer! She always makes all my hair dreams come true and more. Her balayage is the bomb. I haven’t had it re done for 8 months and with a treatment it looks like it’s brand new. She is also super accommodating! Not to mention she is the most wonderful person. Full of energy and good vibes, I am lucky to call her my friend. Rock paper shears is also a great location and gorgeous inside. All the staff seems very friendly.
I cannot recommend this place enough. I moved from Vancouver and my stylist there referred me to Rachel- So I took the chance and haven’t looked back since. Rachel is the sweetest, most caring and talented stylist! My hair is difficult to colour, and she does an amazing job. She LOVES her job and it shows. She also cuts my 2 and 6 year old children’s hair no easy feat! We always leave happy and feeling so great. Rock Paper Shears is a beautiful salon and all the employees are organized, kind and welcoming. The owner Jessalyn is so great too. Happy client here!
I have been going to this salon for the last few months and I have always had such a wonderful experience. The ladies at the front desk are very welcoming. Cassie is the stylist I have been seeing and she is by far one of the best hairstylists I've ever had. She takes her time, is super precise, and my hair always comes out looking even better than what I had expected. She is incredibly sweet and I highly recommend her and the salon!
Kaitlyn has been me & my family’s stylist for 5 years, we followed her to Rock Paper Shears as she joined their team. She is an extremely talented hairstylist/colourist/artist the best, and an amazing person. She always welcomes us with her warm smile, she is patient and helpful addressing any concerns with my hair, thoroughly explains everything and offers great advise on keeping my hair healthy. The salon is a gorgeous space, with a welcoming and positive environment, all the girls are always very kind & friendly from the moment you walk in.
After trying out chain salons like Chatters, I wanted a change and a hairstylist that I could call my own. I looked up salons in Edmonton and found Rock Paper Shears. I am now in love with this salon and the staff and I won’t go anywhere else! Aralyn is my stylist and she is so great! She makes my hair look amazing every time and guides me so that I don’t make dumb hair decisions. She took my hair from dark blue to blonde a few months ago, which was not an easy process, but she 100% saved my hair. Plus the salon is mega cute you feel like apart of the family as soon as you walk in the door. I’ve recommended the salon to my mom and some friends and everyone who has gone also loves it! Highly highly recommend Rock Paper Shears.
The atmosphere is amazing and the layout of the salon is gorgeous. I'm always welcomed with a smile and offers for coffee or tea. The staff is super professional while making sure I have everything I need. Trinity is always upfront about what I need to do when dying my hair and not giving me false hope. She is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!
