Seriously? 4*I couldn't finish it . The fries were so hard it broke my fork. The montreal meat tasted like regular meat you would buy at a Walmart. 3 bites and I was done the sandwich SOOOO SMALLL The bread was hard as a rock this was the WORST MONTREAL deli sandwich I ever had. Ever. SOOO OVERPRICED ***And I cannot STAND when establishments use a computer generated program to pump out positive reviews I'm noticing a trend with alot of restaruants because if you look at most of the positive reviews here at this spot there the accounts have just been created and they have just 1 or 2 reviews. Look for LOCAL reviewers with multiple reviews and who are "local guides" such as myself***
The meat here is indescribable. Perfectly cooked, seasoned nicely, and they give heaping portions of meat. Can’t say too much about the location since it was a quick takeout, but it was nice, clean, chill hangout spot. One recommendation I would give is to slightly toast the bread especially if it’s going stale… or make the sandwich with fresh bread. Although it was a tasty sandwich, the bread was super stale, lacked the freshness that it needed. The price was quite astounding for the actually sandwich size You can seen in the picture. It was around $13.55 for literally meat between mustard spread bread and a pickle on the side. With the price, location, taste, and service, this place deserves an honest 6.9/10
Service was subpar, with long wait times despite the restaurant being half empty. Our server seemed disinterested, and it was challenging to get their attention for simple requests like refilling water. The food did not redeem the experience either. The fries were bland, tiny coleslaw and seemed like they were pre-made and reheated. My main course was both overcooked and under-portioned, a combination I didn’t think was possible. The dessert was not fresh, hard to bite, stale cardboard.
The only clubs I'm into are sandwiches, especially the ones from here! Feast your eyes on the smoked meat club which features their Montreal style smoked meat that is marinated for 14 days to bring you flavour galore! This sandwich was a winner! The aged beef brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and paired very nicely with the beef salami in this sandwich. If you’re deciding on a side/appetizer, the poutine is definitely the way to go here! They use curly fries topped with their homemade gravy and fresh Quebec cheese curds this is a must! I’m already excited to go back to try out more items on their menu which is fully halal too!
Im SO sorry to post this review, we are big fans of deli sandwiches but the food here was probably the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life. We got the montreal smoked sandwich and it was just plainly inedible - not smoked at all it tasted pretty much rare, meat was absolutely tasteless and full of fat, the bread was cold and hard not toasted or warmed, the mustard was sparse. So many better sandwiches out there for much less than the price of this garbage - 2 sanwiches abd a poutine was almost $50. The soda was completely flat, tasted almost like water - refills were charged extra $2.99 which is such a joke. We were fasting - literally starving people couldnt choose to continue eating this food. Talk about loss of appetite. The poutine was fine.
I am also sorry to be writing this review. I am writing this review hoping it might help you be more successful in your business. If you continue to make food the way you served me yesterday, I don’t think you will succeed. The steak in the philly cheese steak wasn’t well seasoned, it had little flavor and I could count the pieces of onion, peppers and mushrooms in the steak sandwich on one hand. The very few pieces that was in it was way overcooked and had no taste. The bread was cold. The quantity of smoked meat in the smoked meat sandwich was very small. I suggest you go to a real deli and see how it’s made. I had also asked for medium fat and in my opinion, it was very fat. The rye bread was dry and broke in my hand. The gravy for the poutine was watered down. You are mixing too much water with the powder. It had little taste. The pogo was from a frozen box. I don’t have much to say about that. The quantity of coleslaw was 1 Tablespoon? I have never seen such a small portion of coleslaw served before. I'm sorry if my review sounds harsh but again, if you continue like this, I don’t think you are going to succeed. I'll never eat there again. I have a feeling you are already struggling to be serving poor quality and small quantity. I wish you the best. If you are a good business person, you are reading these reviews and would reply to this one assuring people that if they go to your restaurant, the experience will be different because you will improve the quality and quantity of your food.
Rock'N Deli, Montreal smoked meat. This place is quite famous for its meat and deli line, so it was time for us to visit. They have a range of burgers, meat sandwiches, subs, and club sandwiches on offer. We ultimately settled for 3 club sandwiches with 3 different meats in each; smoked meat, roast beef, and chicken. They add lettuce, tomato, sauces, and salami in the club in addition to the meat. And it's a large single serving for around $15 = sandwich + lasso fries + sauerkraut they call it coleslaw + dill pickle + fountain drink. You can replace the fries with salad. Verdict: Quite good and meaty. Very filling. No complains, it's a good standard sandwich.
Glad to finally find a halal smoked meat place nearby. Portion size was great. Got the trio combo with sandwich, fries and drink was shocked at how much fries they gave…couldn’t eat it all out in one sitting. The staff was also very friendly and took time to explain everything. Only reason I gave 4 stars is bc I personally like my smoked meat with a bit more Smokey flavour. But it was still delicious.
Delicious food! If you are looking for the Montreal food vibe definitely check out this place. Cheese curds on the poutine. Plenty of gravy. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich was so tasty. Plus authentic Montreal style bagels! Can't wait to go back.
Delicious!!! The food here is so fresh and tasty. We ordered the Rock n’ Deli Royal, and the Rueben sandwich + poutine. Highly recommend any of these items. The meat was high quality and juicy too! Wife is gluten sensitive so we ordered the GF bread. She says it’s the best GF burger bun she’s ever had! Bonus points for being halal!!
