Went for the fish fry. Drinks came out first and the Old Fashion was not good. Then came the soup (French onion). Well, it wasn't any good either. It was extremely salty. When the fish did come out it was ok. (Average Wisconsin Fish Fry) The building is really interesting but didn't make the food taste any better. Really pricey in my opinion. Probably won't be back considering all the other options in my area for food

The location use to be a train station, very neat structure and throw back decor. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Several in out group had burgers, I had the perch fish fry. Fish was good, burger excellent. We will be going back for sure!

Phenomenal Establishment!!! Great staff! Great food! Great prices! I stopped in for the first time this afternoon for a fish fry. The cod, perch, walleye are all freaking awesome. Cooked perfectly and tender and juicy. Let's be honest, what's a real Wisconsin fish fry without potato pancakes. I've had my fair share of potato pancakes in my day and many a time poor ones. They make them from scratch here and they are AMAZING! The tartar sauce is made from scratch and compliments the fish wonderfully. My whole meal was perfect. I'm moving to Verona or Fitchburg soon and will definitely make the 1hr drive at least twice a month to come back for this. The staff and patrons at Rock Bottom Saloon & Eatery are all very friendly and sincere people and I felt very welcomed when I came in and sat down with a group of regulars. Many times you get strange looks like, "who's this new person and why are they here?" I felt very welcomed and even the owner introduced himself to me which is pretty awesome. They even have a patio and fire pit outside and are right on the river for a relaxing view after a long days work or on a breezy summer night. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
