I haven’t been to Crawfish Junction in over a decade. Wow! Have you guys grown! Finally got the opportunity to have your fish last night. Experience: My party of 8 waited for approximately 30 minutes for a table to open up. It was peek dinner time and we were treated so nicely. Even with my 3 “hangry” children demanding refreshments. Facility: It has a log cabin vibe. The building seemed to be a very clean. The bathroom was kept clean and orderly. Their a handful of various brews on tap, a lot of domestic beer to select from, along with some fun themed mixers. Dinner: I order the cajun walleye and my wife order the perch. All I can say is absolutely outstanding. Last time I had fish this good was prep on a shoreline in Canada 20 years ago. I was also happy with the quality of kids menu items. Having a picky eater, we were able to find something he likes and actually ate it. My only complaint with my visit would be the tap beer was a touch warmer than I’d like it. I had 2 Shandy’s and they were a little warm. Still enjoyable just would have preferred them colder. Nice work Crawfish Junction Staff. Your hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. I hope to visit again soon to enjoy a different menu item. Keep up the good work.
Casual venue with that small town feel and friendliness. We went for the all-you-can-eat shrimp special. You can choose fried or sautéed, then switch it up, and they came with cocktail sauce and a side - I chose fries. The shrimp are what would be considered medium if purchasing at the store to cook at home. This made for them to be the perfect pop-in-your-mouth whole bite with a great ratio of breading to shrimp. The breading is very light which allows you to actually taste the SHRIMP, even with a slight dip into the cocktail sauce. Each refill came in a cup that amounted to about 1/2 the size as the initial order. Kudos on that as you could pace yourself well and stop without any waste. Our server was peppy and friendly, coming around just when we needed her to and taking good care of us. We certainly enjoyed ourselves. Next time we'll do the ribs. Kid-friendliness: Bright and airy. Not anything special for kids to do, but the dining room is separate from the bar. Parking: Regular parking is right across the street, but there is additional parking in a gravel lot in back.
Great food and even better service! The bartender was polite and made sure we were entirely satisfied. The proportions were abundant and reasonably priced. Will be back for the fantastic specials!
Hadn’t been here in a long time and since Friday night for fish Fry had to stop. Busy but wait was short and just enough time to order drinks at bar. Nice selection of craft beer and old fashioned with bourbon was the best. Wife ordered pan fried walleye and myself had the crawfish tails picture. Was looking for the gator but was informed it is hard to get and expensive and they were out. But the crawfish was great and I can always get cod many other places. Service was outstanding and they were busy. Will be back again and hopefully gator is available.
Went out with friends for fish and it was amazing! I had the breaded fried shrimp and it was so good! They were huge! The server was great and we enjoyed our time out.Food: 5/5
The food is fantastic! The servers are great! Well worth the trip. The regular potato salad is amazing but the coleslaw... OMG! Made in-house, not too sweet and not vinegary. They should put it in jars and sell it by the pound!
We went for the Friday night fish fry, and we're not disappointed! It was worth the short drive from Madison to try this place out. They have the most flavorful fish fry out of the last 5 we had been to around the greater Madison area. They do a great Blood Mary, and Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet as well!
I wouldn't expect to be rushed to get out of my table before my dinner even arrives but that's what I experienced just tonight. When my dinner did arrive I seen it seemed like the $14 portion of jambalaya was somewhat on the smaller side well the undercooked prime rib was on the larger side I guess that's a bonus I don't know. The hostess ran around like a crazy person trying to fit in a large group of people that came in unexpectedly and I understand that happens in the restaurant business but you should take care of the customers that are already seated first the check arrived just after my dinner. In all honesty for the fast food manner in which my Saturday night dinner was managed I would have been more happy at a Culver's or possibly even a McDonald's
There are a lot of bars / pubs in Wisconsin that do a pretty good job. Crawfish Junctions goes far and above that. Their drinks are always fantastic and the food is some of the best any pub in Wisconsin has to offer. Seriously how is a little bar in the middle of nowhere this freaking good! Parking: Plenty of parking both in front and out back. I've never not found a spot.
A little sad today. We have been to crawfish junction a good amount of times. I have moved away and have not been there for about 1.5 years. People have been saying it has lost its vibe. Would agree totally agree with their statements. The waitress was wonderful! We ordered 2 bloody Mary’s and alligator. They were delicious. the 3 of us ordered burgers which were done perfectly but also took 30-40 mins to receive which is generally ok but there was hardly anyone in there at 12:30. Out of the 20 tables there was 4 or 5 occupied. My burger was taste less but I was starving and my fries were cold and greasy. My mother took them home to air fry in her new air fryer. We all loved this place but hoping goes back to amazing like it was .
