We just had our first visit with Riverwood Vet Clinic and were far from dissapointed! Maya usually cowers at the vet and isn't happy to be there. Here, the vet came in and crouched down to greet her. Maya flopped on her back for a belly rub!  Service was wonderful. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Our vet took her time and did a thorough health check.  I also didn't feel pressured to purchase anything / do any procedures that weren't necessary. No upselling here. They only recommend what is actually important at the time of your visit.  I could probably write a novel but I'll keep it short. 5 stars all the way would rate higher if possible!

My cat and I just had a really wonderful experience at Riverwood Veterinary with Dr. Tiarra.  I felt we were in really good hands with this woman who is clearly a cat lover! Prices were fair and reasonable. Thank you to the kind staff for putting up with my angry cat!

Such a fantastic clinic, with lovely staff. Everyone is always friendly and helpful, and I really appreciate the separate cat clinic as it helps to ensure my nervous little rescue doesn't find visits traumatizing.  It means so much to me that they have retained a mask requirement. As an immunocompromised person, this means I can still bring my cat in myself instead of asking a friend to take her.  They are also incredibly honest and upfront - I brought my cat in for a scheduled dental cleaning from which they would have made $$$ and when the vet saw that her teeth had improved from brushing, she sent us home without paying a cent.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful. My family and I had to make the very difficult decision to put our beloved dog, Snoopy, of 16 years and 8 months to rest. For such a painful decision, the staff made it as comfortable as possible. Snoopy was well taken care of and the doctor made very sure he was comfortable. The staff anticipated our needs, respected our privacy, gave us lots of time, and explained our options and steps. They were openly transparent, and showed empathy and grace with every spoken word; it allowed my family and I to manage our expectations and grief. The office manager even made an awkward situation collecting payment into a moment of comic relief, which really helped put a break to the deep pain we were all feeling. Even if it was for a brief moment, it was incredibly appreciated. The entire team also sent us a letter of condolence in loving memory of Snoopy. I absolutely love this team and although I no longer have any reason to attend this veterinary practice, I felt compelled to write a review of how incredibly important this establishment is in providing exceptional veterinary services. Out of the few veterinary offices I visited, Riverwood is the only one deserving of a platinum star review.  Cherish your beloved pets because when it comes time, it happens very fast. As I write this review, I can’t help but miss Snoopy.

I have a diva kitten and have visited this clinic a few times, including for her spay procedure. Staff is always friendly, and I appreciate their cat-only section. Vets listen and never minimize my concerns while always considering what is best for my young cat; they don't do anything to unnecessarily traumatize her, even if it's taking her temp. They clearly love cats, even my snooty and rude diva. Prices are reasonable, location is good, and parking is plentiful. I highly recommend this clinic for your beloved pet.

Best vet I've been. Super friendly staffs everyone who works love animals. I've been seeing Dr. Sylvia for more than 8 years chasing her from clinic to clinic. She's been amazing vet with warm heart. The clinic is well-designed having separate enterances and reception areas for dog and cats eased off my kitties stress encountering big dogs. : very happy with their services, thank you all for great care of my fur babies.

Very friendly vet, we've been bringing our cat and dog here for a while now and happily recommend Riverwood in for anyone needing a vet.  Empathetic and friendly staff.

It’s hard to fit how I feel into this box.  From the initial phone call, to the in office visit, to surgery, to post surgery care….this place is the best.  The staff is clearly treated extremely well, and LOVE their jobs.  My two year old cat is going to have a better life because of how much everyone cared about her.  They walked me through my tears, worries, fears, and made me feel like Petunia was in the safest hands.  Shout out to Karen who helped me get all of Petunia’s information and setup her initial appointment.  You told me that you guys were going to help, and that everything was going to be okay and it was.  You brought me so much peace and hope. Jan who was so thorough and caring, from start to finish.  You answered all of my crazy emails, which was much appreciated.  Dr. Montgomery, I know I already told you this BUT here we go again, you are an angel.  You are clearly in the right field of work. If you want to feel like your cat is loved, the way you love them, take them here for EVERYTHING.  Thank you to the whole team at Riverwood Veterinary Clinic, a team of absolute angels.

I drive from North Vancouver to Port Coquitlam and have been doing so for over 10 years because the quality of care is worth it to me. My experience at Riverwood has always been top notch for all of my fur babies. I always receive full explanations/any questions answered regarding their health and care. There has never been any pressure for unnecessary tests/treatment plans - only those that are immediately relevant are recommended…. and all the staff are truly wonderful! I can’t recommend this clinic enough and trust no one else to give me the straight truth! Thank you for all that you have done for us

Leaving a review on behalf of my aunt. She went to Riverwood Veterinary Clinic to get some help for her elderly cat, Gus. He hadn’t been doing well and she wanted confirmation that he was indeed not in a good way so that I could put him to sleep  I dealt with Dr. Jacelyn Tu who was extremely kind, realistic, compassionate and informative. I had come from another vet in town who questioned me and wanted to do a bunch of invasive tests on my cat so I was so, so happy to find Dr Tu and her colleagues. She was honest and kind and did confirm my knowledge that my kitty was suffering and that it was time for him to go. It was done so professionally and compassionately, and Gus was very comfortable and relaxed as I got to hold him in my arms as he passed away. It gave me and my Gus some peace. I am thankful for this place and everyone I also talked to the week prior to give my kitty the best possible ending. Thank you, Riverwood. Amazing place to take your furry family member!
