I just called to make an appointment for my kids who have been sick all weekend and are running fevers of 101.5 and was told they have to have a fever for 3 days before I can get an apointment and because i didn't check there temps this weekend and checked it this morning I cant get one yet. The nurse that answered the phone was smug and didn't let me give them all the symptoms before putting me on hold and coming back on to tell me to give my kids tylonel and ibuprofen and water and if it is still going on in 3 days then call back. The nurse I talked to her name was Cathy I told her I was going to find a new doctor for my kids and she laughed and said you do that.

I was told I was 5 minutes late and Dr. Town wouldn't see me because of it. First of all, I was on time, second of all, how ludicrous is that even if I was?!? Their policy states if you are more than 10 minutes late, the doctor may not see you. They also made me sit in the waiting room full of sick people for over 20 minutes before telling me this. Great way to lose a good patient! I will not be returning to this office!

River Park Family Medicine does a good job taking care of its patients. Most of the complaints seem to be about pain medicine which is a schedule II med and heavily monitored. The physicians here try to treat the underlying problem instead of give out pain medicine like candy. I am uncertain why Dr. Battjes is thrown under the bus, the review in question is suspicious as you do not need a referral to see a family practice physician.

The doctors are excellent and do their job well. They arent going to just hand you vicodin which seems like the only complaint I've read on here. So if you want to get healthy instead of high, this is the place to go.

Seen Dr Abigail Battjes for the first time from being refereed to her by another specialist. Went in the office the staff were whispering and saying things behind my back. Once i got back to see her she was very rude telling me i had no pain in my back knowing my prior doctor prescribed my pain meds i needed for my back! She even went as far as calling my prior doctor to confirm this! She stated to take Ibuprofen and physical therapy which i told her i have already done. Then told me to go get x-rays on my back which was obliviously was not broken, i was walking around fine???? Did that, then asked to get a referral to a pain specialist since she denied to fill my medicine that i was currently taking..After doing the x-ray she told me that she will not give me a referral. I called my insurance and told them and at that point was told by the insurance they removed me from there office because they couldn't please my needs..What a joke! Honestly not sure how doctors are even giving a licenses nowadays. This office is horrible I'm glad to find a new doctor
