The staff here were very welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed each person I met, both guests and employees. It was a lovely environment. The facilities on site were extremely clean and well kept. We would visit again.nnI would not rent a bubble tent next time. The bubble tents don't regulate temperature very well. Very cold when cold out, too hot in the summer, with no electricity to help. The floors leak and have pools of water squishing through, soaking your feet and whatever items you bring. They are very close together and the doors all face each others sites, so there is a severe lack of privacy. The cabins, tent sites, and RV sites looked great!nnWe felt extremely safe. We kept our vehicle and bubble tent unlocked during the day. Our kids were free to roam the site without fear. Everyone was extremely friendly.nnThis is a great place for families!
Unfortunately we were disappointed with our campsite and wouldn’t choose it again. We chose River Grove, and chose specifically a campsite that mentioned trees all around, because we wanted a little bit of privacy and to have a little bit of a closed-in natural space. We were for that reason willing to pay the extra cost of River Grove which is more expensive than other nearby campgrounds that are just open fields. As advertised, there were a couple of tall trees on either side of us, so the description wasn’t deceptive. But there were no bushes/shrubs, plants, or any other kind of privacy screen whatsoever at human height on any side, only a couple of tall tree trunks in the short grass field. So we were completely exposed and open on all four sides, we could see for ages in all four directions around our campsite. I could watch my neighbours 4 sites down with no barrier at all between us. We felt as exposed and out-in-the-open as if we were in a parking lot. Even a couple of 6-foot-tall bushes on one or two sides of the campsite, or along the chain-link fence which backed onto a walking trail outside of the property, would have made the campsite feel much more comfortable, private, and enclosed rather than feeling like we were camped in an open field.nnNot all of the sites are that bad- some others looked quite a bit better, with a natural divider of a few bushes and plants between some campsites for privacy. But there’s no real way to know based on the description.nnWe did enjoy the clean washrooms.
What an amazing little campground. Easy to get to and the serviced stalls were very easy to back the RV in to. Great family atmosphere here and lots to do! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, we will most certainly stay here again some time!nnThe services sites had a sewer odor from time to time, specifically near the rentable trailers. This did not affect the pleasure of our stay though, just a note.
I had never camped here before, but it was a nice and affordable option to a hotel. The amenities looked good on paper, but I am always cautious about campground showers, I've seen some rough ones in the past.nnI was delighted to see that the grounds and facilities here are kept in amazing shape. Everything was clean and organized. The staff were friendly and helpful, and took care to ensure that all of my questions were answered. The site itself was lovely and private, and everyone followed the rules. By 11 pm the only sound I heard was the odd bird that was still awake.nnI would recommend this place for sure, next time I will be tempted to try out a cabin.
We booked all 10 cabins and 12 additional sites for a family reunion. We had a fantastic time! The campground was nice a shady, and all cabins had working a/c which was needed in the hot weather. The housekeeping in the cabins was excellent, and the cabins were stocked with dishes, bar fridges, microwaves, and some even had 4 burner stoves. Would highly recommend for anyone considering a family reunion! Thank you to River Grove Campground for hosting our reunion this year.
