Stayed here for a couple nights. We stayed in a full service site with a 35ft trailer. We had plenty of room for the trailer, slide and awning. Not a campground with a lot of privacy but wasn't an issue at all. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. In addition to the standard bathrooms, showers, laundry, there was also an old school arcade with 10ish games. Surprisingly many of them still priced at 25c. My kids enjoyed the retro experience. My kids were a little old for the playground. The grounds are walking distance to the main attractions in town, big dinosaur, spray park, down town, which is the main reason we picked this place. We would very likely stay here again if there's a site to accommodate our trailer, the whole experience was very positive
Nice campground. Big cottonwood trees. Vintage arcade is a hit. Site's are on the small side. But nice and shaded. Campground store no longer open to walk in. Window service only. Not sure why. Good place to camp while in Drumheller to take in the area activities.
BEST CAMPSITE!!! This place is awesome. I highly recommend it. There are lots of big trees and the campsites are well shaded. The sites are not huge but not small either. There is a big fun playground, as well as an arcade. The bathrooms are kept very clean. Coin operated showers. The water from the taps are all drinkable water which is amazing. The staff is super friendly. We will definetly come back.
I recently stayed at this campground as I was riding my bicycle from Vancouver to Saskatoon. The main bathroom facility is one of the best that I have seen. Lots of space and good water pressure in the shower. I was a little disappointed that the shower required a loonie for 5 minutes. Based on the camp fee cost, which was the highest I have encountered so far, I was surprised that the showers were not free. The owners need to do some tree pruning especially where the tents are located. It was difficult to find a place in the assigned spot that if one of the dead branches fell from the trees above that it would not hit my tent. In windy situations the situation could be deadly.
I had a cabin booked for a family trip. due to circumstances in Jasper with the forest fire and power outage, we had to cancel our reservation last minute. yes, it was within the 7 days but due to the circumstances, you think they would have some compassion and do a full refund or at least a partial refund. instead when I asked I got laughed at and told the system cant do a refund this was all from the " assistant manager " I called back to speak to someone else and she basically said one day it will be raining for me to cancel or bad weather another time. I explained that I cant make up a forest fire and she then repeated again basically mocking me. horrible customer service n empathy at all
We had only 2 great nights at River Grove campground, the staff were extremely helpful, from assisting with a ladder, to the young lady in the afternoon with the wood on their buggy. the campground was close to all we were looking to do in Drumheller..... would definitely book with them again !!
Had a lovely stay at this campground. Rented a cabin for two days. Cabin was clean, with heat and good lighting. Spacious bathroom with a nice cabin shower - and equipped kitchen. If it wasn't for the rain we encountered, we would have happily enjoyed the fire pit in the private yard. Would stay again of ever in Drumheller !
Our stay at the cabin was very nice. They have AC, bathroom with shower, and the beds are very comfy. Ours had a big fire pit area that was fenced off for privacy. Highly recommended, it's a great campsite.
The main point of staying at this campground is proximity to activities are walking of biking distance. Located just off main road, there are playgrounds near entrance, spray water park with wading pool, arena, shopping, farmers market and more. Short drive to hoodoos, Royal Tyrell Museum and riverside play area. The disappointment with this campground is sites are close together with few offering privacy. Other campers feel comfortable walking through your site to get around campground which is frustrating. Washrooms and showers are very dirty and need updating. Cabins are not worth staying in as they are dated, small and no AC units. Roofs are worn out and require replacement. At over $100 per night, you can stay at the local hotels and be more comfortable. Playground is limited and old as well. Better to go out and around the corner to the town playground for sure. The arcade has about a dozen retro games that were cool to explore. Again half of them were out of order so pointless. Last item to note is that campsite is next to River but there is no access due to chain link fence around property. Only access is through front gate in or out of campground.
They have really clean public showers. And staff is amazing too. The showers cost 1$ for 5 min of use. You can also get loonies from office if you have cash.
