I absolutely love Riverforest! We are on our second year here. My wife and I have 3 young children and 2 dogs and the whole family can't wait to get back there on the weekends. We love that they have a bar/restaurant where they have regular entertainment. We use the pool regularly. We also like that they have a marina for our boat. In addition, the kids also love to use the river and pond for fishing. Since we have started camping there we have made a lot of friends and really could not ask for a better place to spend our summer. Thanks Riverforest staff. We are happy you have been so accommodating.

We rode our Motorcycle from Florida up here to New York. We were super excited when we found this place online, because of the convience to the highway, and the fact that they had laundry facilities on site. We drove through a thunderstorm and were soaking wet when we pulled in. After we paid the absurd amount of $35 for a primitive camp site (no water, no electric, & they put us right next to the port-o-potties - literally 2 feet away) we discovered that the laundry room was out of order. 3 washers, 3 dryers, all out of order. It was a huge disappointment. For another $35, we could've booked a hotel room, with an actual bed, & with washers/dryers. Aside from the fact that we overpaid AND there's no laundry in the campground, the place is very desolate. It's out in a field. Nothing to do, nothing to see. Not worth the $35.

Expensive for tent camping. No water, no power, long way to bathrooms. Very noisy from nearby freeway and power boats. Tidy campground, well maintained.

This place could be great. The pool is nice and the grounds are decent. However we had no power for most of our second day (on a 90 degree day) and no water pressure. Just a trickle. The bathhouse toilets were backed up because they couldn't be flushed due to water pressure. We ended up packing up and heading out a day early. The woman at the front was very nice but obviously frustrated. Sadly we won't be back.
