What a treasure for the area! We frequent lots of NYS Parks but for whatever reason had only visited this one quickly about ten years ago - we made reservations conveniently online and snagged a non-electric campsite a few days ago and spent the night last night. Not one negative thing to say about the park in our experience! The non-electric campsites were really nice with tree coverage, etc - which at some parks the non-electric sites get all stuck in one big open field. Our site was a little wet in the very back, but it was just the two of us and no kids and it did rain a lot earlier in the day before we arrived, so it was no biggie. All the staff we encountered were super nice and helpful. There's a really nice trail down to the lake from the campsites on the west side of Rt 89, through a tunnel. (One caveat I will add, although I'm not deducting any stars for it - is be CAREFUL on said trail down to the lake. After you go through the tunnel, between there and the lake, it's "sort of" paved, but the paving has broken down over time, and the sides of it are very uneven, and it would be really easy to twist an ankle if you're not paying careful attention, or if you come back up it when it's dusk or even dark. So beware! This trail needs some maintenance, in my opinion - a LOT of campers use it daily and I'd be really surprised if there's not regular injuries there) Back to the park - people we talked to at the beach said they had enjoyed great fishing there, and there were a few people using the nearby boat launch, too. The beach looks decent and there's a nice playground right by the beach, too. Overall, I consider it a great deal for $19 per night!! We'll be back, and will try to snag one of the electric sites maybe. There also are a handful of little cabins that look cute if someone is looking for a step up from "camping". We'll be back! :)

Beautiful place! The campsites are spacious and well plotted. Walking trails lead from the campsite to the lake through a tunnel under the road. The lake has boating docks, room for fishing, a playground for the kids, and a local general store. We even got up early to catch the sunrise on the lake. Amazing!

Beautiful private sites (212 & 214), great for large group camping together on 2 sites. Quiet and accommodating. Bathrooms very clean and nice warm/hot water. Close to necessaries in town, and accessible and close to a few wineries!

Beautiful park with a great view of one of the finger lakes. Especially great if you are bringing a boat along.

absolutely a disgrace! we reserved this specific site over 6 months ago and we got here and the site was destroyed!! we understand that the rain is not their fault, but this is a STATE PARK. to check out is at 11am and then checking in is at 3pm. that's a FOUR hour window for the people that work here to see that someone is checking in at 3 and go check the site and make sure it's not destroyed from the people before. also, how about making people pay a security deposit so that if they destroy the site they don't get it back?! absolutely ridiculous. never have I seen a STATE PARK so neglected to its sites and customers. I'd like to add that they let us pick a new site that we liked. we had one good day. we knew it was going to rain the next day so we got up early, had a great breakfast cooked over the fire and when the rain came we retired to our tents to read and nap. while napping we were woken up by the guy mowing the lawns of the sites near us, not a problem that's his job. but THEN we hear him SWOOSH! mowing through our site while we're camping in it!! not only did he nearly take out our tents, our tables and US, he SMASHED into my friends car!!! left a HUGE dent in the bumper, the entire back corner was smashed in from the mower. we packed up and left and demanded a full refund and that they pay for the damages. I have NEVER been more upset with a campground. we camped every year there and will ABSOLUTELY NEVER be camping there again.
