RIT Vacations - Royal Irish Tours

Surely bus driver made this trip a trip to hell. Bossy, rude, autocratic. His way or the highway. Yelled at a lady who just asked a question. Wouldn't give next days itinerary. Took us to every gift shop in Ireland. On the bus all day every day. One star for picking us up 1 star for dropping us off.

Since my husband and I have always travelled on our own, it was with mixed feelings that we decided to take a guided bus tour of Ireland. We took the Shamrock Royal tour. We were not disappointed. Royal Irish Tours did more than deliver on their brochure promises. Our tour manager, Joe O'Connor, was extremely knowledgeable, informative and witty, and made every stop interesting. Unfortunately, my husband was hospitalized briefly in Limerick but Joe kept in constant contact with us while the tour continued. At all times did we feel well looked after and Joe made personal arrangements to allow us to catch up with the tour. The attention to detail and interest in the entire group's comfort went well beyond what one would expect. There is no doubt that because of Joe O'Connor, we will be travelling with RIT again.

We just completed the Royal Scottish Tour and had a wonderful time. Our guide and driver, Maggie and Hugh, are very experienced and knowledgeable. They contributed to the enjoyable and stress-free experience. The tour was well-organized and comprehensive. Scotland is a lovely country. I would not hesitate to recommend and/or book another tour with RIT.

I booked two tickets thro them for the Royal Edinburg Military Tattoo in Aug 2017 Scotland. On arrival they were not at my hotel with the welcoming package as agreed by RIT thro Jac Travel Scotland. After 3 months of phone calls they have not reimbursed my claim for two tickets and offer lame excuses and follow-up. I will never book or travel with this disreputable travel company.

We just returned for Ireland with a smile on our faces. Part of our trip was a 3 day rail tour with Brian Duggan as the tour guide. We were able to visit Blarney Castle, go around the Ring of Kerry and see the Cliffs of Moher. I have done a number of tours, but I have to say Brian deserves every penny he makes. He never stops making sure we all got what ever we needed, where we needed to go, telling us about what we were seeing and always professionally with a great sense of humour. He was phenomenal. If I am ever fortunate enough to visit again, I would purposefully seek out a tour he does. I have worked in management for a number of years and describe an employee like Brian as having the "whole package" needed to do the job, and then some. You are fortunate to have Brian representing your tour company.
