Welcome to Richter Law. Our mission is to provide our clients with superior legal advice and representation and to earn our reputation as a premier law firm with each and every client. At Richter Law we limit our practice to Criminal Defence and Family Law and pride ourselves on our boutique business model. We provide dedicated, personalized service to each and every client.

With offices just steps from the Courthouse in Oshawa as well as conveniently located in downtown Port Hope, we proudly serve Durham Region and Northumberland County. We are happy to attend surrounding areas such as Toronto, Hamilton, Peterborough and Lindsay when called upon.

We accept a variety of legal services plans including those through OPG and Legal Aid Ontario. We also accept Visa, Mastercard and Interac and will incorporate payment plans into our specific retainer agreements. We generally operate on a retainer system using block fees where our clients pay on a fee for value basis. We are very sensitive to our client’s financial circumstances and strive to provide legal representation at a cost that is manageable to each individual client.
