This guy is my hero! I have been using him since the 1990’s and he has saved me lots of dollars. Sometime we win sometimes we don’t but in the long run it’s been worth it. Thanks to him and his staff!
I'm a relatively new client and haven't experienced a full cycle of appeal activity so can't comment on Richard Shapiro's success rates. But his firm rates highly so far in terms of communication and use of technology. Timothy Hohmann has been my main point of contact and he is excellent at keeping me informed and enabling signature forms using DocuSign. If this is any indication of the work and effort that take place behind the scenes, I am hopeful for promising results and a lower property tax bill.

Your Original Review I've been very satisfied with the way Mr. Shapiro has handled my property tax appeals in the past. He keeps me informed as the process goes along, and I'm satisfied with the results.
I have been using Richard Shapiro and his group to help me reduce my real estate taxes. They have always done their best to get them lowered, and has always kept me updated on their progress. Over the years they have managed to get my taxes reduced sometimes not as much as I would like, other times, great. In the past, I have hired other attorneys to help me reduce my taxes, but Richard has always done a better job.
I am very satisfied with the service Mr. Shapiro has given me through the years we have been with him as a client. My prior efforts in dealing with the Cook County Assessor's office were not successful but he has been able to lower our assessment to match similar properties in our neighborhood.
Richard Shapiro's team has been my partner since 2003 with my ongoing Chicago property tax challenge and they have consistently been a great teammate with successful outcomes.
