Really enjoyed our dining experience here! I truly appreciate their efforts to be unique and go outside of the box! The duck wings were a great flavour I only dock points because I just prefer chicken meat but 9/10 flavour and the savoury donuts were SO good! I had duck again for the main and I actually preferred the duck confit over the duck wings. Super juicy and tender meat! My husband had the burger which he said was very good! Great ambiance with the live music and friendly attentive staff!
Nice place. Friendly service. Small menu but we were able to find these two appetizers to share and they were tasty. It might have been a reduced menu due to us going during the Blues Festival. We will give it another try in the future I’m sure.
We’ve visited The Rich Uncle Tavern a few times over the last couple years and have had a five star experience each time. The drinks food service and atmosphere are exactly to my taste. We even had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Last night we were back celebrating a friends birthday and they had a singer song writer performing who was fantastic and a few posters around promoting future events they’re hosting. Definitely worth checking out.
Decent food with good ambience and patio seating available. Service was a little slow to start off with our beers. But overall friendly staff and decent appetizer options! We tried: Truffle fries -5/5 Brussel Sprouts- 5/5 Pasta - 4.5/5 Mediterranean Bowl- 4/5 Fish & Chips - 5/5
Came here for the first time for a date night dinner. Absolutely love the atmosphere here. Live music was amazing. Just the right volume. The food, oh what can I say about it, just incredible!! We had the Korean Nachos, Flatbread, and Duck Wings, which were outstanding!! Our server was also amazing. Kudos to the owner, chef, and the amazing staff. Will definitely recommend and cone back again.
Google recommended this and it was such a hit. The servers were such a cheerful hosts, the food was good. We tried the duck wings and truffle fries for appetizers on the recommendation of the server. It was excellent. I recommend a 100%. For drinks we had the Box Job and the Hermit ****. I don't remember. Those were good as well. I didn't really enjoy the fish and chips, it came out a bit bland. But the braised lamb was okay.
I quite enjoy coming to Rich Uncle. My go to dishes are definitely the nachos pictured and the duck wings didn't get this time. What really put them over the top for me this time though was the dessert. More often than not, I go to places and it's quite disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding wasn't too sweet and was perfectly paired with the salted caramel ice cream. My mom and I were quite full by the end but we both wanted another dessert.
After walking by this place on almost a daily basis, I decided to try it out with a friend the other day. I ordered the seasonal flatbread which was super tasty and filling and a generous size. Front patio on King St is nice. Giving a 4/5 because the menu was a bit smaller than I anticipated and there were limited items I knew I’d like. So really it’s more of a 4.5/5. If you like duck, lamb and beef I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in the menu!
I absolutely love the vintage vibes and the speak easy prohibition drink menu. The fried brusslesprouts totally melt in your mouth and words can't express how amazing the staff are! Definitely be back soon.
Had dinner here on a Saturday night. Wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Would recommend the Dip the Bill beverage no alcohol but has egg whites. The alcoholic drinks are strong. Had Korean nachos, salad and fish n chips. Fast and friendly service, fun historical atmosphere. Centrally located. Nice bathrooms, clean and functional. Will come back.
